The media could not be loaded. This will be my third morakniv I've owned now, I have used the craft line and companion for about a year each now. The knife itself is absolutely perfect, my favorite morakniv by far. My problem with the case is in comparison to the companion and craft line. The case itself is a hard case, but the belt loop is leather (opposed to a hard clip), and the knive sits very deep in the sheath. This makes it harder to get off my belt one handed, especially with gloves. Good quality sheath for bushcraft/hiking/ camping, but no ideal if you are frequently drawing the knive with gloves hands. However I found that the knife fits perfectly snug in the sheath from my heavy-duty companion, and luckily the colors also match still, so it worked out for me. So while I would say 5/5 I say 4.5/5 because of the sheath, the sheath included is very nice but not practical for me personally. I think they could easily offer the sheath option from the compan

I've been searching for years for a knife that had a handle that felt comfortable in my hand and nothing came collection this kansbol. It's not perfect but berry close. It feels good and handles good. My knife I noticed had a place in the belly that looked like it had been bumped against another knife. It had almost a knick bit I stripped it on my boot toe and it came out. It came sharp as can be out of its box. I usually sharpen every knife I get to my liking but these mora knives don't ever seem to need it. They come just tight .....at least for me anyway ...no need to reorifilr or sharpen. The handle has the rubber over mold that feels good in my hand and has good grip. The aheath. I like it but I still wish it was like the others with the plastic clip. O like how you can clip em to your pocket or a button or belt. Whatever suits you. This sheath is nice tho with the frog attachment. I used it a bit and it cuts like you'd expect from a Mora. Razor sharp and

This is an excellent camping knife, takes care of most of your outdoor needs, very well made at a good price, and super sharp right out of the box. Definitely recommend it.No issues with shipping or delivery.

It comes nice and sharp, and it held a good edge. It still had a solid edge after processing an elk. The knife worked great for standard camping functions, I would definitely buy again... if I ever need to.Con: kinda a pain to sharpen, but with how well it holds an edge that is few and far between.

A good knife does not have to be expensive. This is a good utility knife for truck, tackle or tool box. It is razor sharp.

If you need a knife to do a bit of everything in a camping/bushcraft situation, this is the knife to get. If you are a member of the Baton Everything Clan and you proudly hammer a 4in blade into a 3.8 in knotty piece of wood, this knife might not be for you. For all other reasonable camping/bushcraft chores, this knife is just wonderful. Oh yeah, in case you forgot your bow drill at home to light your solid fuel stove, it has a sharp spine so you can use a ferro rod.Just an amazing all round knife, IMO best jack-of-all-trades and master of most knife in the Mora lineup. I cannot recommend this knife highly enough. 5/5.
Not Sure What to Think of It.

I was very impressed by the reviews here, as well as those I was able to find on YouTube about this knife. That it was made in Sweden was a big selling point for me. Now for my first impressions after taking it out of the box:1. Light, almost like a toy. Seriously. The plastic feels cheap and the entire knife, including the sheath, weighs almost nothing. I honestly feel it looks like a toy G.I. Joe knife for kids when in the sheath. The Glock survival knife is also plastic handled and sheathed, but feels more substantial, at least to me.2. The amount of the handle that protrudes from the sheath makes it impossible for me to get a good grip on it when removing it from the sheath. I have to reposition my hand. Only 1. 7/8 inches protrudes from the sheath. All of the Glock's handle remains outside the sheath. That being said, I haven't had the opportunity to use it outdoors yet, and the blade seems to be good quality and is relatively sharp out of the box. Being that it is a Swedish knife, and that the company has been around for awhile, I don't doubt that it is a very well made knife. I just wish it had a bit more heft (I can see situations where its lightness would be an asset), and I really wish more of the handle protruded from the sheath for getting a better initial grip. The photos I have attached show how light it is (I can hold it up with almost my finger tips) and also shows how little of the handle is visible when it is sheathed. In conclusion, being that it is Swedish and has a great reputation, I suspect it is a good knife. But if I had never seen it before and had picked it up in a store and it was marked "Made in China," I would assume it was a typical low-quality Chinese made knife. That's what it looks like, even though I know it isn't.
A truely remarkable knife

I will not bore you with dimensions, descriptions, and specifications. That's been done all over the place on the web. What I am going to say is that this knife DOES live up to the praises of others.I am a longtime user of Morakniv products. In fact, this is my ninth Morakniv. The overall feel of the grip is quite good. The blade geometry is unique and beyond useful. Its surprising accurate when doing intricate cuts both on wood and food preparation. Strong, with the body of the blade in the Scandi grind for heavy cutting with wood. Yet it can shave off "feathers" for fire starting with precision. And the tapered forward end, with a "mini scandi" grind, is as good, or better than any kitchen knife I've had.The sheath is simple and direct in holding the knife in place and hangs on your side without poking you in the ribs when you sit down. And the additional extras for this knife that Morakniv sells to enhance the sheath will surely appeal to the more adventurous for different attachment to packs and such.Bottom line is that this is a well designed knife capable of a multitude of tasks. And the cost is well within anyone's budget. In fact, you can not find an equal to it from any other manufacturers for even twice the price or more.
Just what I was looking for!

I've always been a fan of Mora knives.......the blades, the price point, the quality, the simplicity. Nothing fancy, but a great workhorse! This is actually the first Mora I've had in stainless - which is nice when using on food. High carbon steel tends to discolor, just from looking it wrong (joke). Speaking of using on food, this knife slices through veggies like food knife. The thinner tip cuts cleanly rather than wedging out and splitting it.The factory edge was impressively sharp - although not razor sharp. I don't know if its because the type of steel it is, or if they leave it to the buyer to fine-tune it to how they like. Either way, its plenty sharp. First thing I did out of the box was to grab a stick and start making curls and feathersticks. Super awesome curls with very little pressure needed. The second thing I did was to take those curls and feathersticks and put a ferro rod to the surprisingly sharp-edged spine (back) of the knife. For the first time ever trying, I was able to light my pile (and 5 more after that) of shavings. I'm confident that I could start a fire out in the woods with nothing but my Kansbol and a ferro rod.The handle is a softer, grippier rubber top and bottom, and harder, ridged plastic centers. Together they make for a comfortable non-slip hold.If you've ever owned a Mora before, then you know what the sheaths are like. Hard plastic, with a drain hole (or two) in the bottom, holding the knife in place by friction. Some folks don't like the outwardly cheap look and feel of the plastic sheath.....but I like it for its weather-proof and protective qualities. Having said that, this sheath is a fair amount more stylish than the cheaper Mora models. The only con (for me) is that the hard plastic can be noisy when trying to sneak hunt through the woods, if brush or gear bumps into it. Easily remedied by hanging farther back and tucking into my back pocket. One noticeable difference with this sheath is the belt loop. On others I've had, the belt loop is a thin strip of rubber or rubberized cloth material. This one is leather. Seems supple, yet sturdy.Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase. I think this knife will serve me well for hunting, fishing, camping, light bushcraft. I saw a review online describing it as a "general / all purpose" knife, and that is my impression as well.
