I have very sensitive skin, and as I've grown into adulthood (25) my skin has become an incredibly dry nightmare with patches of flaky and red skin. It makes it impossible to wear makeup because it clumps in those spots and makes the dryness even more noticeable. I've tried dozens upon dozens of lotions, creams, repair serums... Nothing works. Except this magic-in-a-jar Sebamed cream. I have been using this for just 5 days now and it's already completely changed my face. NO dry flakes, decreased redness, softness returned to my face.Pros:-It actually works on healing and repairing your skin, completely changed my face!!-No perfumes or additives that would aggravate sensitive skin.-You only have to use a small amount, and it doesn't feel cakey or sticky once it soaks in-Very decently priced compared to other creams $60+ that claim to be a miracle and don't work for crap-The container feels soft and since it's a tub it makes it easy to get the exact amount of prod

I've had sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin since I was 9 years old. I'm also Scandinavian-pale, so every single blemish or irritated area shows up vividly and stays visible for a very long time, even after healing. Having been into skincare for about the last 10 years or so (I'm 28 now) I felt that I had a pretty decent handle on my skin; it was still troublesome, but not the trainwreck it was in the past when I knew nothing about the chemistry behind how skincare works.I picked this up for the urea content because the winter was making my skin too reactive to the usual acids I use to exfoliate and I have very "active" skin that tends to kind of stickily hold onto itself instead of shedding off properly with big huge pores (genetic). It can be oily, flakey, and grainy all at the same time, even when I'm using very gentle PH balanced cleansers and layering hydrators on it.The effectiveness of this simple formula is top-notch. The moisture actually sinks into my skin instead of sitting on top of it, and I've been able to cut out my other actives without suffering clogged pores and breakouts. My skin barrier feels so much better and more bouncy, and while I still produce a lot of oil it's on a more manageable scale. It dried matte enough to not interfere with any makeup application and I'd put the texture somewhere between a light cream and a gel. It's definitely not thick and stodgy. The smell is slightly powder-ish but pretty inoffensive in my opinion. I like it better than the Hada Labo Plumping Cream and Premium Lotion, which were some of my previous go-tos.I have fine hair and an oily scalp, so I want to try the urea shampoo in this line as well and see if it does a better job than my dandruff shampoo!

Contains fragrance. Fragrances contain a bunch of undisclosed chemicals and are known irritants to all skin types. Extra dry skin especially should not be exposed to irritants . I have used other products from this brand and "fragrance free" had often been on the label. I was surprised to find it in this cream. If the brand knows fragrance is bad then why use it at all!? A good skin care line should never use perfume in it's formulas.

I have extremely dry, flakey skin and I get white patches around my mouth, nose and eyebrows. I've been using this cream this past week and it has absolutely transformed my skin. I rarely ever write reviews but I've spent so much time and money searching for a good moisturizer that this deserved a good review. I walk to work in the cold everyday and I usually get dry patches by the time I reach work and would have to reapply my moisturizer, but this one is amazing - I put it on in the morning and it lasts all day till I get home at 8pm. Added bonus - it dries matte unlike other rich moisturizers, but you can still feel a protective layer on your skin.The only thing I would change is the smell. It has a strong smell that lingers but honestly I don't mind it because the cream does its job well.

I bought this to combat the winter dryness that is now in full force in the midwest. I have dry skin naturally but winter really gets me - to the point that my face can just get itchy, dull and dry - and even heavier moisturizers can get sucked up within a couple hours overnight. This has really helped - very moisturizing and I can tell it is still protecting in the morning. I would recommend this to anyone with the same issue - however I will caveat that I do not tend to breakout from heavy moisturizers and cannot speak for those who do.

I was not paid to write this much of a positive review. To begin with, I am a skincare junkie. I've spent many years trying numerous skincare products from low to high end. None of them amazed me, so when I bought this urea cream, I did not expect much at all. But this went over my expectations. I have dry dehydrated skin and this is saving it even in winter. It's interesting because it's not heavy at all either. Yet, very moisturizing. It's also healing my acne. What the heck. I was never this happy from a moisturizer. Please do not discontinue. Holy grail, seriously.

I have been battling fungal acne/seborrheic dermatitis for almost 6 months, and was using another brand of urea moisturizer. I thought I'd give this one a try since urea moisturizers with no triggering ingredients are nearly impossible to find. First--the jar is surprisingly small and cute! I only need a tiny amount so I think it will last for several months. I thought I finally found an HG cream...But why is it GRAINY?! Like there's little scrubby grainy bits, and they scratch as I rub the cream in, causing my sensitive skin to turn red and burn. After a few minutes it subsides. It doesn't break my skin out and moisturizes very well. If it wasn't so rough I would have given 5 stars.

I am Irish, 43, ultra fair and have Lupus. I also live in the sierra Nevada mountains where the air is extraordinarily dry. I have tried everything on the market from $250 creams, to prescription moisturizers, to organics and essential oil‘s, I’ve tried it all. Nothing comes close to this moisturizer! And I mean nothing! It is literally like a new face in a jar as far as I’m concerned, and it has no ingredients whatsoever that aggravate fungal acne or folliculitis. I will be giving it away as a Christmas gift to every person I really love with dry skin. You know when the containers half empty and the Creme De Lamur is sitting next to it untouched— It’s a whole Lotta bang for your buck. I will never be without the stuff again and neither should you.
