There were clear signs on the packaging and hardware that I was shipped a “used” unit – cosmetic scuffs etc. Functionally no issues with installation but it should not have been sold under the premise that it was “new”.

I installed the bracket just under the seat in my wife’s bike and it works as intended. The baby seat connected right in.My issue is that I purchased a new unit and it had obvious signs of being previously installed on a bike and prior use. Probably a returned unit that was restocked without being looked at. The surface was very scratched and had visible gashes.

Easy to install, screws in the front, so it makes it easier than the previous models to install. And it comes with a key. Now my husband can easily take my son to bike rides too.
