Product InfoSwix HS Wax 60g is a great choice for all-round improved gliding properties. The high speed series needs an eight to 10 second ironing speed when using this product. You may also reheat it after approximately ten minutes to increase durability. Scrape it off after one minute.HS5 is the hardest in the series and makes a great choice for colder conditions when out alpine or cross country skiing. It is ideal for fresh, old or manmade snow. The recommended iron temperature is 160 degrees C (311 degrees F); and the recommended temperature range for use is -10 to -18 degrees C (14 to 0 degrees F).HS6 is the most versatile in the series, as it can be used for a base-wax before powder, as a racing wax or as a base prep wax for cold skis. It works best on natural and artificial snow. The recommended iron temperature is 155 degrees C (293 degrees F); and the recommended temperature range for use is -6 to -12 degrees C (21 to 10 degrees F).HS7 is your typical go-to choice for normal winter conditions below the freezing point. It can be used as a race wax at low humidity or even a training wax, but remains durable for all-conditions-skiing. The recommended iron temperature is 150 degrees C (284 degrees F); and the recommended temperature range of use is -2 to -8 degrees C (28 to 18 degrees F).HS8 is great for training and competition thanks to its glide properties. It is best used for both base-prep and training, but can also be used as a race wax with a top coat. The recommended ironing speed should be 8-10 seconds on a skating or alpine ski; while the recommended iron temp should be 150 degrees C (302 degrees F).All three of these can be used as a race wax alone or as a base for other top coats.
