From the Manufacturer

Fast Adjustment directly on the work-Piece eliminates time-consuming test adjusting of the correct opening size. Just position the upper jaw to the work-Piece, push button on pliers and move close the lower jaw. Once adjusted the pliers self-lock on pipes and nuts with no slipping. Optimized shape jaw will grip round, square and hex shaped material. The box joint design provides high stability because of the double guide.

Compact size – great quality

The Knipex 87 01 150 Cobra with a length of 150 mm is one of the small models of Cobra water pump pliers from Knipex. Despite this, its gripping capacity is a proud 30 mm. The benefits of working with these water pump pliers are plain to see. They are compact, light and stable, can be positioned on the component quickly and are self-locking, e.g. on pipes and nuts.

Because of its compact size, it is particularly suitable when out and about. It also reaches poorly accessible components and grips without slipping. Despite this, it achieves a gripping capacity for pipes with a diameter of up to 1 1/4 inches or 32 mm and for nuts up to a wrench opening of 30 mm. Thanks to the 11-fold fine adjustment, the Cobra can be ideally adjusted to different sizes of the component.

Compact, tough and strong

We forge the Knipex Cobra from chrome vanadium steel and use a multiple stage hardening process to give it the ideal balance between hardness and toughness. This makes it extremely durable. To achieve a lasting secure 'bite' on the work component, we use high-frequency current to bring the gripping teeth to a hardness of approx. 61 HRC.

I work as a intrument technician ,i have to work in very tight spaces and most of the time i cant put my hands around the tool the right way. having this tool that locks it self and is ergonomic and well made is a god send. Tried cheaper brands with locking mechanism ,they didnt last a long.

Expensive is my first thought. Very useful tool is my second. Would I buy it again? Yes. There are cheaper options that work as well. Love the fact that it slips into your pocket and is very convenient to have with you when it is needed. Just don’t lose it.

My go too pliers. The teeth bite very well, the overall build quality is A+. This size is perfect for an edc kit or a portable tool kit. The locking adjustment is very precise and is my favorite part.I use them almost daily working on cars, car audio, and they are perfect for plumbing. They also make jaw covers for them if you have something on a job or home you don't want the teeth to mark up.I 100% recommended them

I was skeptical that I could verify the cost of these. Now I recommend these and only these tongue and groove pliers. Spend the money because they will save you time and money. They will get you out of a pinch that others would fail. I have yet to find something that these pliers fail at.

I was looking for a quality lightweight tool for my mobile bike tool kit. This was recommended to me and I was very pleased when I got it. It is the perfect size and flexibility for on the go bike work. I was able to remove three open end wrenches from the kit to reduce my carry weight. Perfect. Highly recommended.

I have every pair they make. Best water pump pliers I've evet used. Bite the hardest with the least ammount of effort. They've spoiled me; now I'm filled with disgust and frustration when using channelocks or other brands.The xs fits in my coin pocket; the jaws are more useful than any leatherman I've used and they dissapear in the pocket.The 22" XXL fits on 2" unions at work with plenty of room so spare. They're a third of the weight of the 36" pipe wrench I used to use.If you were on the fence, I hoped I pushed you over. I've not once regreted buying cobras.
