I like that these are lighter weight in my hands. But I am always aware that extension wishes must be used with care and not near other dogs with leashes of any type. They can even be dangerous around your legs.

Our second leash from this brand and in this size. We used it for 12 years for our little dog. It had seen a lot of sand on beaches and ice on mountains. I hope the replacement will last another 12 years.

Having bought 3 TUGS leashes, none of which worked properly I upgraded a few $ and bought a Flexi. From the minute of unpacking it - the difference was so obvious. Sturdy, well made and works absolutely perfectly. The retraction device is flawless unlike the TUG retraction which would go just so far before leaving feet of leash limply hanging on the ground. Flexi is made in Germany - Tugs in China and the superior workmanship of Flex is apparent from the start.

The New Classic is easier for me to operate than the Classic.But neither are as easy for me as the old Comfort Compact.Nor do they seem as well made.I don't understand why Flexi would stop making something as good and as popular as the Comfort Compact.Perhaps they just lasted too long and didn't need replacing often enough.

I've bought this product for a 30 lb dog before and I love it, I've had it for years..My little king past away recently so I retired it and bought a new one for my slightly smaller new edition to the house .Only thing is that the ones made for smaller dogs, the cord is (in my opinion) way too thin! I feel that my new puppy is going to bust it really easily with very little wear and tear.. So I have to take old one out of retirement and use it again, way sturdier!
