This boxed set set includes 9 fine tip assorted colors which are ideal for detail work and very fine line outlining, as well as fine tip tracing, drawing, writing and personalizing of the surfaces. These markers are the perfect tool for those not comfortable using a brush and for children. The rest of the line includes 55 brilliant, intense colors including 37 standard colors, 6 pastel colors and 11 shimmer colors, as well as 10 outliners. Colors are water based and non-toxic. They are also completely removable until baked in a kitchen oven at 300 °F/150 °C for 35 minutes. Once baked, the paint is permanent, microwave and dishwasher safe as well as UV and solvent resistant. Conforms to ASTM D-4236.

I got these markers for a party activity - for the guests to draw on porcelain cups, and then to take the cup home as a gift.I’ve only had a chance to use these for a day - don’t know how long the markers will stay usable, or how well the drawings will last with hand-washing/dishwasher washing, and microwaving.However, of all the reviews and comparisons i read, these were recommended the highest for durability.First impressions - these are great. Upon opening, i did have to repeatedly push on the tip for like, 30 repetitions, to get the ink flowing. All the markers were functional, yay for that. And almost all of the colors were saturated and opaque (the sky blue looked the most transparent to me, and the dark green and blue looked the richest to me).So far, happy with these :)P.S. the cups are from CB2, the “slip mug”. I got them because they are the cheapest coffee mug that i could find (at 2.50$ per mug) that have this nice flat surface for drawing.

I ordered these markers for a holiday craft project. My daughter's had heard about making Sharpie Mugs. I did some research and discovered that the Sharpie markers do not hold their color. We bought and tried both regular sharpies and the oil based sharpie markers and the colors became muted or completely changed. (As would be expected - that isn't their recommended use.) We did a dishwasher test with our trial mug and even with 10 runs both the regular and oil-based sharpie stayed on the mug intact. The biggest problem for us was color stability. Which led us to these markers.On one of the websites when I was researching for this project, someone had recommended these markers instead. I ordered a pack and we did a test run. We followed instructions on the package fully. Decorated mug, let cure after decorating for 3 days and then placed in oven. Colors stayed stable. We tested it with 10 runs through the dishwasher and so far no changes to the test mug.Another

We used this so my 18 month old could draw on mugs/bowls to give as xmas gifts for family. She scribbled on 7 or 8 mugs and bowls over the course of a week or two, exhausting our single black marker, and we baked them per instructions. As others have mentioned, the pen did take some coaxing to get the ink running again after we had left it for a few days (capped, of course,) but since our project was toddler scribbles, the initial blobbing of the ink once it finally got going didn't affect anything negatively. If I were to use the pen myself, I would probably want to get most of my drawing done in the first session.The mugs came out surprisingly well, sort of a clean, modern look, and the grandmothers in particular loved them. I kept one and have put it in the dishwasher numerous times over the past five months with no noticeable effect. We may revisit this project when her scribbles become a little more developed.UPDATE: Well, it is nearly Christmas season agai

Very impressed. They're actually dishwasher safe. I used on a mug that I have washed 20+ times and it still looks new. Also like that there are 2 ways to cure (oven or air). Will buy more.

I use this to personalize bowls I create for a pet shop. It works like a pen (you gotta push it down a little to allow some ink to come out). While applying it , it takes a while to dry allowing you to make corrections if necessary. It erases easily if you need to start all over. I baked my piece in the oven after applying this. I haven't tested it in the dishwasher or oven yet, but the instructions say it should be ok.

I really love this paint pen. I've only used the fine tip and have had no issues with it. It flows well and writes like a well ink pen (not a ball point or marker). It writes smoothly on ceramic surfaces and dries quickly so there is no smudging. That said, if you make a mistake before you're finished, just a little water will clear it away. Use a wet Q-Tip to erase small areas or a paper towel if you've just made a complete mess.Some reviewers have complained about the ink "drying up" on the tip, or the ink flowing in globs after the first use, or the tip falling out. Well here's an easy way to solve all of that. First, make sure you have the pen so that it can remain standing in an upright position - put it inside a cup or pencil holder. Might be a little messy, but remove the tip from the pen. Using warm, running water, gently rub the tip until the dried or excess ink is gone. Dry off the tip and put it back into the pen. Then it's good as new!
