Nib isn't working at all. The nib that came with my pen works fine, but when I switch to this one it won't write at all. Maybe it's a user error, but I'm very disappointed.Update: it took a lot of coaxing to get this nib to work. Unlike the medium nib that came with my lamy, this nib stayed dry and would not draw ink to the tip to write. I tried to start it by sort of dipping it in the ink from the underside of the other nib, but it would just use that dab of ink and remain dry. I had to use the feed with no nib on to sort of rub the ink on the inside of this nib and fully saturate it down to the tip for it to really get going. I don't know why it had such trouble pooling any ink in the feed to the tip, but I eventually helped it to start and it's writing fine now.This nib might be too scratchy for some, but I find it appealing to hear a little scratch as you go, sort of makes me feel like I'm using on old quill pen. I absolutely love the thin lines of this nib

I feel a staunch difference between this and the regular silver EF nib I have on my Al Star. I'm probably going to need to buy black nibs for all of my Lamy pens going forward. They just seem a bit overpriced. Unfortunately, I can't go back. I almost recommend people not trying these nibs because buying them is truly excessive. Regular Lamy nibs are perfectly ok. These are just a tad better and honestly, if you don't need hair-pin lines for writing very tiny or drawing very tiny details, you don't need black nibs. Anything larger will be wet enough to lubricate the nib.
Only fits on LAMY brand fountain pens

Only thing bad was it was really drippy. At least a drop or two came rolling off of the bottom of the feed when I linked it using the lamy converter. Not sure it the problem was the converter or the nib.

So far so good.I was worried when others mentioned counterfeit products and that the extra fine isn’t very fine.So far this nib writes just as fine as my pilot vanishing point extra fine is.Swapping to this nib was easy. I went from a silver fine nib to this black extra fine and it’s a lot better for my needs.It’s not as scratchy as the silver fine nib was either. As long as I’m using a light hand it writes just fine.

I'm left-handed and new to fountain pens. Of the several pens I've tried, only the Lamy Safari has given me smooth, consistent ink flow. The nib on it however, was Medium, which made thicker lines than I wanted. Rather than putting it in a drawer never to see the sun again, I thought I'd try this nib. Wow. So glad I did. This thing is super smooth and a joy to use. No skipping at all.
Great nib if you want very thin lines for your Lamy fountain pen

Great nib that's easy to install and writes very well. I initially had some scratchy writing after putting it on my Lamy Studio, but soon realized that it was a hair crooked on the feed. So once I removed it and installed it again it started writing without any issues.Produces a very fine line that's great if you tend to write in small print. The thin line also means the ink dries quickly — as you can see in the photo, the only way that I was able to cause any smearing was when I ran my finger across the page immediately after finishing writing a word.I've also used it on thicker paper like you'd see in a nice journal or planner and it writes well on there, though you'll need to give it ~10 seconds to prevent smearing.

My original Lamy came with an steal Extra fine and I love how it writes thats the pink one in the photo inked with Lamy's blue-black ink. The second pen I purchase arrived with a Medium nib and I hated how think the lines were the inks kept on bleeding on my cheap paper so I got another extra fine in black stainless steal, it fit just as the original and it works great, It writes smoothly enough for an extra fine. The one purchase is in the Lamy neon yellow pen inked with PINK ink from Staedtler that I hate but its the only other ink I own at the moment.

The nib was what I wanted, to replace the "fine" nib I was using previously. It writes smoothly enough; not as smoothly as a broader nib but a lot better than I expected. It installs easily but since it doesn't come with instructions, it's helpful to check YouTube for video of how to remove and install. The price is high for what you get, but that's true for a replacement part for almost anything you can name. I was just glad the seller had replacement nibs available. It would have made better sense for me to have bought the $30 LAMY Safari pen originally with an EF nib but I thought I'd prefer the F nib. Hindsight is 20-20!
