These make water taste so good that neither my husband nor I can stand tap water anymore! I think that's because of what they add (Magnesium) rather than what they remove. They're only for use in the matching O2 filtered pitcher.We find that we can use them for about 60 pitcher fills before the taste starts to noticeably degrade. That's about twice as many fills as the manufacturer recommends.Delicious water!
