This tire is built for speed, and let’s just say it politely delivers. A 40mm rounded profile and an elevated centerline provide enough volume for lower tire pressures and a smoother ride while still reducing drag and rolling resistance. This makes for an all out gravel destroyer that can still appease those clamoring for a truly big cyclocross tire. Winner? We think so.

I’ve tried out several different tires searching for the perfect one and the Nano’s are my favorite! I like pushing my gravel bike to it’s limits And have never had any issues. Feels good on the road but on gravel they feel unstoppable. The grip like no other and roll extremely well. I take my bike down a lot of single track trails that are clearly meant for mountain bikes but with these tires I feel like I can conquer them all! I like them so much that I bought the tan wall version and the all black. I’m running them tubeless and have rode around with 20 PSI on singletrack trails and not had a single burp. I’ve rubbed the tires sidewalls on tons and tons of sharp rocks and have not had a single scratch on them. I honestly can’t express how much I like these tires!

I bought these tires last fall for a little gravel riding. They worked flawlessly on a few rides. The only thing I’d change is to make them wider, but 40mm is a feature, so I won’t knock them. I do a lot of road riding in the spring, and at first I left them on because I figured they’d endure the crappy spring roads better than G-One’s I had in reserve. I might just leave them on all summer. With 108 miles this week alone, I can say these tires ARE fast on pavement. I’m not even running them tubeless, yet. Better yet, when I do encounter the occasional gravel trail, I have no worries I’ll wash out. It’s all hammer down! Now, I know most are looking at these for hard-core gravel riding, and I haven’t done enough of that yet to comment. If you’re looking for a fast all-around tire that can handle both pavement and road, then given them a try.P.S. The guys at the shop I bought the bike were marveling over the tires. They have a high respect for the Nano’s. FWIW.

My bike came with a pair of sweet Maxxis High Rollers II 2.3 EXO TR. These tires get great reviews in the areas they were made for and I will slap them on when I go AM riding in CO. I ride trails that are created and managed by community pros. We do not ride when wet. So, we only ride dirt in dry conditions in basically flat Minnesota … we don’t need real meaty tires— well I don’t. I rarely get passed but when I do the guy is flying— I never get a good look at their tires, they might need more beef. Most tires in Minnesota have a lower profile tire and XC use. Another favorite here has been the Small Block Eight. What’s great about the WTB Nano is the centerline tread, it’s nearly continuous so it behaves fantastic on roads, it’s quite and fast I’m 10 miles from great trails by road in three directions so I can ride avg.15 mph to the trails, ride hard and go home on the same tires without comprise. I love these tires. I don’t write enough rev

Daughter wanted knobby tread on her bike which she often uses for trail riding. They are for a Giant Cypress model with 28″ rims. I learned a LOT about buying and sizing bike tires doing the research on the multiple measurements (that all fit the same rim) and came a cross these which fit well within her birthday budget! They look good and she is very happy. No problem on the road or the dirt. I used her existing inner tube and swapped these out without any trouble. They are about as wide as you can get and knobby as you can get for a ‘normal’ width tire and fork assy.

I love this tire. After a decade of mountain bike racing, I learned that you don’t need a heavy tread to shred on all surfaces, and in fact, light and minimalist tires tend to beat everything out there for an all-conditions tire. I live in Western Pennsylvania, and ride a mixture of rough country roads and double-track trails in the forests. My Cannondale Topstone 1 came with 37mm Riddlers on it, which worked pretty well, but I couldn’t travel really fast in rough conditions without getting my teeth rattled out of my head. After bumping up in size to a 40mm tire, everything changed. These tires really soften up the rough roads and trails, and do so at a variety of pressures. I ran these at 35 and 55, and to be honest, they handled everything about the same at both pressures… high speed descents, knarly trails, rutted and rocky country roads… you name it. The extra volume really makes a huge difference, and absorbs a lot of road vibration. Of course, I’m 200 p

Install: I put these on tubeless ready DT Swiss E1800 rims w/ Stan’s sealant. One tire installed without fuss on the first try. The second tire on the other hand was a much tighter fit on the rim and it was much more difficult to set the bead. After some furious pumping, I got the bead to set and pumped them up to 55psi. That’s when the sealant started bubbling out of the sidewall. Pumped them up to max pressure and let them sit overnight. Next day- completely flat. I pumped them up to 50psi and took them for a 20 mile ride and they were down to ~35-40psi. The tire I had the most trouble with still had some seepage issues, so I put a bit more sealant in and it was much better.Initial Ride impressions: They obviously don’t roll as well as slicks, but they feel light and very supple on the bike path/crushed limestone/ light gravel. They are also surprisingly good on singletrack. They also a mostly dry cyclocross race without any complaints.

More than just pleasantly surprised. Overall an amazing tire. Mounted great, tubeless no problem. Killer in dry and slightly moist conditions – probably not all that fabulous in wet muddy trails, roads etc. A bit touchy on wet leaves, but that’s ok. I’d run this tire for ‘almost’ anything the local Midwest could throw my way.

Great tires, but they run 2-5mm smaller than advertised. They measured out to be 38mm on my wheels. Ended up sending back and ordering the 50mm and they were 45mm, which worked for what I want. Can’t go wrong with them and they offer lifetime replacement.

Good quality but a little bit noisy on road

The side of this tire says something like “fast rolling”. The tire is great, believe me, and for such a knobby tire it is probably fast rolling. But they are indeed knobby and you feel it through the bike and hear it, and all of that is resistance. They throw up little rocks on gravel way more than any other tire I’ve had, but they also whip through soft stuff (wet or dry) way better. I set them up tubeless and while I do not see any leaks of the sealant, I do have to pump them up before every ride (which is every few days). Maybe I need more sealant or maybe it’s my rim tape. The tire was easy to mount — not too tight, not too loose. I’m happy with the tire and assuming I don’t have any issues or something, I will gladly be buying additional sets.
