Nano is built for speed. The nearly uninterrupted centerline provides swift efficiency on hardpack terrain while staggered outer knobs allow you to stay on the gas while hammering up chunky climbs or hanging on through loose gravel corners. The high-volume 40mm casing smooths out jarring gravel while also reducing drag and rolling resistance. This makes for an all-out gravel destroyer that still appeases those clamoring for a truly big cyclocross tire. Everybody’s irrefutable favorite.
Setting the bar for protected tires at competitive weights, all WTB gravel tires measuring at least 37mm wide are now available with a 120tpi casing and all-new SG2 puncture protection. This new protection layer is a lightweight, ultra-thin nylon insert that provides bead-to-bead coverage to ensure all surfaces of the tire are provided with an additional level of defense against punctures. As events become progressively rougher and cyclists pedal farther, gravel gets tougher. It only makes sense for gravel tires to become tougher as well.
Lab tests show the addition of our bead-to-bead SG2 puncture protection layer provides 33% more sidewall protection and 17% more tread protection than our standard 60tpi offerings without SG2.
The nylon fibers of the bead-to-bead insert also have a uniquely flat profile, which reduces the amount of rubber needed to fill the gaps between fibers compared to traditional protection layers with round fibers. The increased fiber-to-rubber ratio helps to increase puncture resistance while the reduced rubber content minimizes weight and improves the liveliness of the tire due to decreased overall casing thickness. While SG2 is primarily a puncture protection layer, its tightly woven fibers also improve air retention, which prevents seeping at the sidewall and helps maintain pressure between rides.

I purchased these for my gravel bike. Tubeless mounting on my Industry Nine GRCX wheels was straight forward and hassle free. These tires fit tightly and popped onto the rim with pressure on the first attempt. Added sealant they sealed up quickly.Rolling resistance on asphalt is average (considering the tread pattern). These tires really shine in the dirt. Handling is spectacular, grip is superb. So far, no durability issues.

Expensive but they seem to be fast rolling with excellent traction along with great puncture protection.

These were a bit difficult to get seated and inflated and the sidewalls leaked for a couple days. Just keep pumping back up and add more sealant if you need it. This is normal with tubeless and resolves in a couple days. They ride comfortably. I don’t feel the small bumps at all as they are absorbed by the cush of the tire. I ordered the 40mm. I measured with calipers after install and inflation to just under 40psi. They ended up being 45mm on my I9 235 ultralight rims. They are pretty durable. No punctures yet that I have seen, I have rode these a couple hundred miles so far and they still look brand new, like they haven’t been rode at all. The are great for both pavement and gravel. I have rode fast on smooth pavement and my normal cruising on hardpack, loose gravel, washboards, sand. It has been rock solid on every surface so far. It’s El Paso, so I have not rode these on mud yet, probably not going to happen in the desert. 10/10 would recommend and will buy a

After less than a year of commuting, the tires came apart at the seams and the tubeless sealant slowly seeped out.
