Description

The Koda was refined through two years of feedback solely from female testers yet it resulted in a saddle that the boys at the office are also fighting over. Medium padding thickness boasts all-day comfort while an open center channel and slightly swooped tail strikes the perfect balance of performance and support. Tired of your riding shorts snagging on your saddle? The short nose of the Koda provides seamless on-off transitions without the worry of catching your shorts.

Steel Level Padding Explained

Padding Type: DNAx

Soft to the touch, this lightweight polyurethane padding is a great option for anyone experiencing sore contact points on their saddle. Ideal for rides of shorter duration

Cromoly Level Padding Explained

Padding Type: HLX + Gel PADDING:

30% more shock absorbent than polyurethane, HLX padding is plusher than our DNA padding. It’s a great option for those of you who prioritize squishiness over weight savings. Wish your memory foam mattress topper could be transformed into a saddle? Look no further than our HLX padding.

Gel inserts provide additional support to prevent the pinching of soft tissues while also cradling the sit bones in a comfortable position on the saddle.

Titanium Level Padding Explained

Padding Type: DNA PADDING:

Superlight polyurethane provides a dense padding that dramatically reduces saddle weight and provides our ultimate level of support. DNA padding holds its shape incredibly well over long rides as well as throughout the lifetime of the saddle, providing unbeatable comfort on long rides and durability in the years to come.

Koda Titanium Rails

Titanium Rails Explained

Nearly as light as carbon, titanium rails are able to flex without losing structural integrity, making it a top material for saddle rails.

Koda Cromoly Rails

Cromoly Rails Explained

Increased strength and less weight make cromoly steel a noticeable upgrade over traditional steel rails. The perfect choice for bikepackers and avid off road riders.

Cover Materials

MICROFIBER COVER:

Found on all WTB saddles, our Microfiber cover closely replicates the look and feel of a leather cover. The supple nature of the Microfiber Cover allows the foam to support the sit bones without interfering with its resiliency.

ABR CORNERS:

Abrasion Resistant Corners, these durable patches of material protect the corners and sides of the saddle from rips and tears.

Bike: 2016 Orbea AlmaI wish I could give this more stars. It has to do more with the fact that WTB has an online method to help me estimate the saddle size I need. I’ve had WTB saddles before and they have never disappointed but this one kicks the comfort up a notch. Normally I’d have to wear padded liners when I go ride and after an hour in the discomfort will start, heaven forbid all my liners end up in the laundry…I can actually ride these without the padded shorts, it’s got a generous love channel, decent padding and with the steel rails it still feels amazingly light (I’m not a weight weenie though, it’s easier for me to drop 20lbs off my gut than drop 20lbs on a bike..)

  2. Austin (verified owner)

It goes on your bike, but really it’s an upgrade for you. This saddle really makes a difference after a few hours hard riding. I was very surprised at how comfortable it is without being bulky. Was designed for women but is very accommodating for men’s anatomy.

  3. Your review is awaiting approval

Very comfortable. Be sure to use the fit guide on the WTB website to make sure you buy the seat that fits your tailbone

  4. Akibamuse (verified owner)

The Koda appears to be very well made. All black, simple design that looks very elegant. And my wife tells me that it is comfortable for a minimalistic but not racer saddle.

  5. Ashlee (verified owner)

Was experiencing a sore butt while riding with the factory seat. This wider and more padded seat from WTB fits me very well and reduces soreness.

  6. Anon Ymous (verified owner)

Amazing. I like it so much that I am planning to purchase another for my trail bike later on. I picked up the lower cost steel unit but will probably go with one of the lighter materials now that ai know I like the seat.

  7. Aaron (verified owner)

The stock saddle on my Specialized Roll was causing me pain after just a few miles riding. I used the saddle finder on the WTB site which led me to the wide Koda. I have been riding it for a couple of months now, average of 2 rides a week of about 7-8 miles each, and I am no longer experiencing pain.

  8. J. Krakar (verified owner)

At first I really liked this saddle during shorter rides, but after a 20+ mile ride I got bruises, so not so good for me. At 20 miles it feels like a torture device. I got a Cloud 9 sport saddle instead, which is much better for long rides. The Cloud 9 saddle never gave me bruises near my sit bones and felt comfy at 25 miles. I think the Koda is just too hard and neither model I tried was good at absorbing road vibrations, either.

  9. Ron N. (verified owner)

Good saddle.Little firmer than I thought it would be.

  10. Philip R (verified owner)

I have a WTB Volt Comp saddle on a mountain bike, and I like it a lot. I read a lot of reviews about the Koda saddle and they all made it seem like it was virtually the same saddle as a Volt, but with a shorter nose. I will agree that it has a shorter nose (which is why I chose it over the Volt), but it is much harder than the Volt when it comes to padding. The extra width is nice, but the hard padding is not. It now sits on a shelf in the garage. Wish I’d bought the Volt Comp!
