Twin-Tipped

The bullet shaped brush nib is made from a composite twin material that has fantastic wear properties. It is made up of a harder inner core and a softer outer layer. It’s a very versatile nib that enables the user to create a variety of strokes. Simply by varying the angle and downward pressure on the brush nib, the line width can be accurately controlled. The broad nib at the other end of the marker has a chisel shape, which is great for quick visuals and filling in larger areas.

Ink

Promarker Brush ink is alcohol based and colours are formulated using the finest professional quality dyes. It’s this formulation that makes the colour apply evenly, giving the user supremely smooth, consistent coverage. With Promarker Brush, it’s easy to achieve a flawless ‘print-quality’ finish when colouring by hand.

Paper That Works Best

For the best results, use Promarker Brush in conjunction with Winsor & Newton Bleedproof Paper. Although lightweight at just 75 gsm, it has been specially formulated to prevent marker ink from bleeding. It’s also very white and smooth and will make your colours look rich and vibrant with high levels of contrast. When not using Bleedproof Marker Paper, it is best to use heavyweight paper or card stock with a smooth coated surface.

Fully Blendable

It’s possible to overlay different Promarker Brush colours to produce new colours, and depending on how wet the ink is, smooth transitions can be achieved. A special colourless Promarker Brush Blender is part of the range, which can be used to soften and merge colours together.

These are by far the BEST markers I have EVER used. Although, I’ve never used Copic brand. I purchased these based on an artist’s recommendation, stating they are cheaper than Copic, but still maintain a great quality. These markers seem to melt into the paper beautifully, I find it easy to hide those harsh marker lines with out even trying. Yes, these are pricey, but SO worth it.

  2. Jessica Yaroszeufski (verified owner)

Great markers for a great price. The spectrum of colours is abundant and I didnt find my self lacking. Super fun and easy to work with, and I would definitely recommend 🙂

Great alternative to Copics, I use both, but have a special place in my heart for these. The case is nice, but not really needed…. i would forgo the case to save a few bucks if that were an option. Honestly most marker users don’t really keep them like that anyways, i have a giant cup, others make their own storage… but yeah the markers are good, none were dry and the selection of colors is nice.

Loved these markers at first, at least the brush end. They color beautifully. However, NONE of the chisel tips works properly. Very streaky! After a few uses, they run out of alcohol and/or pigment. Tried adding more alcohol, but I believe it’s the pigment it runs out of quickly. At this high price and quality one would expect from Windsor Newton, these miss the mark and not worth the high price!!

  5. Autumn (verified owner)

I’ve been accumulating a collection of affordable alternatives to Copic alcohol markers, and these were alright at first, but after a few uses, I’ve still not become accustomed to how flexible the nib is, and the ink flow feels a little inconsistent. I prefer my spectrum noir skin tones, but these aren’t awful, and if you’re into super flexible nibs, these might be for you.

  6. Michelle Bertram (verified owner)

These are very high quality markers and my daughter loves them even more than the Copic brand. They were a Christmas present and she said they were super blendable and have great color pay off.

  7. Song (verified owner)

I was excited when I got these in the mail, I tried out every marker and for some reason most of the lighter pastel tones seemed almost as if they were dry or hardly any ink, I don’t know but the darker colours did seem juicy, I don’t know if its just because they are pastel that they seem hardly like they have ink or they really came nearly dried up..

  8. Luv’N Lambert Life (verified owner)

My budding artist asked for these particular markers for skin tones. She’s thrilled with them. They have tips on both ends for her needs, and the colors are perfect.

  9. Theresa Rossi (verified owner)

As always W&N is an awesome product for adult coloring books. I have many different brands and they are my favorite. There nibs are unique and the best I have ever had. Love the colors and blend ability of these markers. Never streaks.

  10. Carol K. (verified owner)

Several of the pens were dry. But more importantly the colors are rather dull. from a brand like Winsor Newton I expected so much more. Tombow and Pitts artist pens are much better.
