Volt Steel PaddingDNAx: Soft to the touch, this lightweight polyurethane padding is a great option for anyone experiencing sore contact points on their saddle. Ideal for rides of shorter duration. |
Volt Cromoly PaddingHLX + Gel PADDING: 30% more shock absorbent than polyurethane, HLX padding is plusher than our DNA padding. It’s a great option for those of you who prioritize squishiness over weight savings. Wish your memory foam mattress topper could be transformed into a saddle? Look no further than our HLX padding. Gel inserts provide additional support to prevent the pinching of soft tissues while also cradling the sit bones in a comfortable position on the saddle. |
Volt Titanium PaddingDNA PADDING: Superlight polyurethane provides a dense padding that dramatically reduces saddle weight and provides our ultimate level of support. DNA padding holds its shape incredibly well over long rides as well as throughout the lifetime of the saddle, providing unbeatable comfort on long rides and durability in the years to come. |
Volt Carbon PaddingDNA PADDING: Superlight polyurethane provides a dense padding that dramatically reduces saddle weight and provides our ultimate level of support. Our entry-level saddles utilize strong and reliable steel rails to provide lasting comfort and durability and affordability.
Increased strength and less weight make cromoly steel a noticeable upgrade over traditional steel rails. The perfect choice for bikepackers and avid off road riders.
Nearly as light as carbon, titanium rails are able to flex without losing structural integrity, making it a top material for saddle rails.
Top-tier performance and ultimate weight savings for gram-conscious riders. These rails are designed to provide optimal support at a minimal weight.
MICROFIBER COVER:
Found on all WTB saddles, our Microfiber cover closely replicates the look and feel of a leather cover. The supple nature of the Microfiber Cover allows the foam to support the sit bones without interfering with its resiliency.
ABR CORNERS:
Abrasion Resistant Corners, these durable patches of material protect the corners and sides of the saddle from rips and tears.

I’ve now had a little over a month to ride w/the WTB Volt Narrow Steel Black Saddle (W065-0584). I decided to upgrade my 12 year old stock Bontrager saddle. I decided to go w/the steel because of price & have never purchased or ride w/any WTB saddle. I went to the WTB website & used there tool to enter my physical information to determine which size saddle best fit me.My first impression when I received the saddle was that it looked great & well made. The all black microfiber cover looks sharp, especially w/the subtle imposed logo. There were no issues w/stitching or construction. While riding, I immediately noticed I was more stable in the saddle, especially when putting down power. When I hit the steeper hills & really started power spinning up it, I was much more comfortable in the Volt than I was in my old saddle. So far I have not had any issues w/a sore butt or any discomfort due to the saddle. I’ve ridden on rides as long as 2+ hours, on double, single

Got the chromoly version with the gel inserts in it in the wide size – which was recommended by the WTB website. Super happy so far. Last couple rides were somewhat short (about 1.5 hr) but I even skipped the padded cycling shorts and finding very nice comfort with this saddle. I had used a narrow Volt before (without the gel, and with padded cycling shorts always), which was included stock with a new bike, and that was OK, but did cause some pain fairly quickly. This new one seems to really be a lot better. Not sure if it’s the gel or the width but it’s great combo. Not having a sore bottom to deal with 2 hours into a 4 hour ride will be fantastic. Should have done this years ago.

This is not a comfort or cruising seat. This is for sitting on for a few minutes on a technical uphill or to rest your legs on a flat. It’s fantastic for downhills and flow trails. My sit bones are supposed to be on a regular but I find the narrow to be best for my enduro riding when you need to get on and off the seat all the time.

Very comfortable seat, leaps and bounds more comfortable than the seat that came with my bike.

I came from a Brooks C15. I was getting pains. This felt like an immediate upgrade for my anatomy. I get slight perineal discomfort and wish there was a deeper cutout. It becomes an issue around hour 2, but isn’t a deal breaker.

If you want a saddle that can do long flat rides but be low profile enough to stay out of the way on the trial this is the one. Very comfy and cheap

This is my third WTB saddle and second Volt that I have purchased. The first WTB saddle came with my Bianchi Cyclocross bike when I bought it 13 years ago. I bought the first Volt to replace the one for my cyclocross when it finally broke after roughly 9K miles. I somehow managed to toss the broken one before verifying which model it was so I went through WTB’s online fit system which narrowed me down to a few options in my size. I tested 3, and while they were all good, for me the Volt simply felt the best so I returned the other two. I just got this 3rd one to replace the saddle that came with my new dual suspension mountain bike. A bike saddle is mostly about the rider and getting the right saddle specifically for them in terms of width, padding, riding style & body type etc.. That said, I have experimented over the years and have spent substantially more money on other saddles that have broken down within the first 2 years and 2 – 3K miles, and have come bac
