Ive pulled out so many thorns from these tires after a riding, they protect the tube. I have run these to the tread without a single dismounting of them once and still have the same tube.They are the day savers, time savers, money savers and life savers. There is a small strip for protection right down the center, perfect for riding over glass and small pieces of “watever the heck that small thread of wire came from”.Throw these on and never look back type of gaurantee. They should pay me for this well written review btw…but they dont thats how you know its good.

Vittoria tires are my tire of choice. They are fast with decent puncture protection and endless grip on the road. I find them to be perfect for long century ride as well as a nice easy 30 mile club ride.

Swapped these out from stock Bontrager tires I was riding on my Trek Madone. Was in the market for new tires as I had flatted several times w the Bontragers and their treadlife was getting worn.Popped for these Vittoria’s based upon the favorable reviews here however flatted the 2nd day I rode them on a 50+ mile ride.From a grip/tread standpoint and cornering they are a definite 5 stars…no concern about laying down into the corners.However from puncture resistance a solid 3. Have not flatted again with additional rides on them (yet) however will likely look for a new option once I ride these down.

Anybody familiar with the “Los Angeles River Bike Trail” knows… its a minefield of broken glass, broken wine bottles, drug addict needles, dead bodys, homeless camps with junk and debris everywhere… well so far i have a few hundred miles on them and so far so good… I hope I just now didnt jinx myself =D

Dont know how many miles they’re going to last yet, but they are fast tires.Make sure u get some light tubes. Real easy to install also.
