CLEANING
Victorinox Swiss Army recommends washing all knives by hand. For best results, hand wash your knives with a soapy cloth and dry immediately.
While Fibrox Pro knives are dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing as dishwashers are designed to spray water at a relatively high pressure, which can jostle the silverware and cause the knives to collide, dulling the edge.

SHARPENING
For optimum performance, knives should be honed after every couple of uses. Proper and frequent use of a honing steel will keep your knives sharper and performing at their best.

    I can see why ATK had Victorinox Fibrox Pro series as a recommended set of knives. They are relatively inexpensive, durable, very sharp, and a workhorse. This knife came very sharp so all you need to do is a quick wash and you can start using it.Prior to buying this knife, I’ve had many other knives that were cheaper and they do not hold their edge long enough. It was a chore to cut anything. This knife basically slices through anything with ease.I know for many of my friends and family members that had a Victorinox Fibrox, the fibrox handle is a love-hate thing. I personally love the grip of them. It feels a bit like sandpaper so you have superb grip, even when wet. My friends don’t feel the same way.In terms of price/value, unless you are a collector and want to spend hundreds of dollars buying nice looking knives, the Fibrox Pro is more than enough for every day use. If many commercial kitchens use this, I don’t see why I need to spend hundreds on something s

    Bought this to replace same model that served us well for about six years till the blade broke off due to rusting inside the handle (should that happen to stainless steel?). The new one was etremely sharp when it arrived, but noticeably lighter than the old one (don’t know if this is a good or bad thing?) It’s doing a very good job as a general kitchen knife, but since I’m no professional I can’t tell you any more.

    I got this knife for my mother who cooks every day. She had an old Cutco knife she regretted purchasing that was too big for her. This is almost the perfect size. Lightweight, sharp and easy to use. The handle is a little thick for her but she loves it and it’s her daily workhorse now.

    This knife was purchased from FS HOUSEWARES. It has a nice feel and a comfortable grip but the knife had a rolled edge. I know this didn’t leave the factory this way, so bad I had a hard time cutting simple veggies. I don’t think it’s a knock off but maybe used and someone tried to sharpen it? Just not sure. For the price point Victorinox makes a great knife but something went wrong.I purchased a Victorinox 5” chef knife from a different supplier Cuisine Plaza, not very sharp again.For the 3rd knife got a Victorinox 8” chef from Amazon and this bad boy is spot on! Very sharp right out of the package just like it should be! I love the Victorinox products and will purchase more items but will think twice from who supplies them.
