I’ve got high high end handmade Gyuoto’s and they are certainly works of art. However from a utility perspective, this is my go-to chefs knife. It keeps a keen edge, feels good with the modern handle, and I don’t feel like I’m using an heirloom when making French fries.

I can actually pinch grip this one unlike my fibrox because of my small hands. It’s nice! The balance point is a little forward of the handle but I’m loving it. Great for 40 bucks when not going up to a Mac or kintaro.

Blade heavy, light, and they handle extremely well considering the price. Great for home or professional use, yes I said it professional use. Some fine kitchens are extremely busy with people of all different levels of skill working there these knives are perfect for that! I bought 3 right off the bat! A walnut handle, a 8”, a 9.8” all 3 have a nice French style profile with generous blade height (about 2 inches)

New handle. Same ootb sharpness. Forgo the super-duper-powdered-sinstered-cryo-van-DLC coated-zero quenched-powder coated-sub zero quenched… Buy a Victorinox and a Dexter Chinese cleaver and call it a day. Both knives will cut bread but if you want a bread knife…

This knife is so well balanced and holds an edge great. The edge out of the box is super sharp and will maintain it for months with regular use (don’t put it in the dishwasher!)Great for learning knife skills and learning sharpening. Amazing value for the money. I recommend it all the time.

This was supposedly an upper end knife. I bought to cut a prime rib. The knife dud not have much of an edge on it. It’s service was disappointing. Should have been razor sharp
