Turtle | Wax 52712 Color Magic Car Paintwork Polish & Shine | 500ml

Ok – so I have been on a “review kick” here on AMAZON. Of the products I have purchased and reviewed I am consistently surprised about other reviews.Case in point … this carnauba wax product from Turtle Wax. Admittedly I typically do not use Turtle Wax products but I purchased this wax because of the listed price. I had minimal expectations because of my prior experiences with this brand and the price of this product. I was pleasantly surprised when I applied this wax on two of my vehicles. Result was a deep, rich shine that thus far continues to perform since the application back in October (2013).This IS NOT pure carnauba and there is no claim that this is a pure carnauba product and such consumer expectations should be accordingly.Many of the reviews mention that buffing was “hard”. I am giving it a 3star rating because the product seal was broken and the wax was slightly on the sponge it came with in all 3 containers. Then the wax look like a white custard pudding texture. It’s the 1st time i order this product so I am not sure if it should be like a hard wax texture or like pudding. I got free same day shipping with my prime so that was a huge plus. I am just curious if this is how the product should look. Also I ordered 3 because it was the minimum amount to order. I read that it lasts so long after its been opened so since the seals were broken and it looked like custard, i wonder if it will still work. If i can get a response about texture before trying it out, that would be a plus. And if this is the way it should look, then i am willing to try it and update my review after 1st time use.

I find the label statement “easiest to remove” hilarious. This is the most difficult wax to remove that I have ever used. You need the same square inch area in towels as that of your car because this garbage clogs your rags. It never dries, and it’s impossible to buff. Your car will look worse when you’re done. I finally got fed up with this garbage and threw it in the trash.

I was hooked on the Turtle Wax Color Magic product after trying some on my Black pickup truck. The black went on easy, wiped off easy and hid all of the small chips, swirls and scratches in the paint. It worked so well that I decided to try the silver version on my Mercedes SLK. BIG MISTAKE!! This stuff is terrible. I spent hours and lots of elbow grease trying to wipe this stuff off and it didn’t hide a single nick or light scratch. On top of that, it left little balls of wax in the nicks that were a pain in the @$$ to remove. I did notice that the black is made in the USA and the silver is made in Germany. Turtle Wax needs to stick to the stuff they manufacture here in the USA and stay away from OEM products that they put their label on.

This seems to have no paint in it at all. It didn’t fill in any of the scratches or improve the oxidation on the car. I purchased this because the positive reviews outweighed the negative ones, but I can’t find anything positive to say about it.
