I was carrying this while mountain biking as a backup to my tubeless setup and put it in when I got a flat. The seam around the tube failed quickly and I had to hike out 5 miles in the dark. I’m really disappointed by this extremely expensive product that claims to be better than traditional tubes. This tube had a manufacturing defect that should have been caught before it left the factory.

Much lighter and takes up less space then a conventional tube.

Lightest smallest spare tube to carry 27+ x 2.5 – 3 I carry mine for a for a fatbike spare tube.

I ruined the first one of these that I got by over-inflating it before inserting it into the tire. This caused it to bulge like a balloon animal. Fortunately, Tubolito’s customer service is fantastic. They quickly responded to my email and sent me another for free. The lesson here is don’t inflate the tube before putting it in the tire. If you must put some air in it, do so minimally. Aside from that mishap, the tube is so small and lightweight that it frees up a lot of space in my saddlebag or I can carry it on my person practically unnoticed. I had a chance to use the tube on my gravel bike during a ride and it was perfect. Installation was simple and I rode for another couple hours without a flat. The ride felt the same as when I’m tubeless. I wish they were cheaper but I assume there’s a good reason for that. In spite of the expense, I’m going to slowly convert to these tubes.

This is a great tube for those of us that do not like the tubeless goo. I can run low pressures (25-29 psi.) The weight is comparable to a full load of goo. I have not gotten a flat in the 6 months I have been running them. I live in S. California and ride lots of rock gardens. I am also about #200.

  6. Shawn Tabb (verified owner)

Managed to get a whopping 13 miles out these before installing these. Had gone 500 with the previous tubes and not 1 flat in 500 miles on my Bulls EVO3 mountain bike. One trip to where I normally ride and made it a whole 13 miles before getting a flat. Definitely not worth the extra cost, very disappointed given the cost.

I came across these on Youtube videos. I rather carry this instead of the larger tubes. Its small enough to carry in my Dakine HipPack with small tool & other misc items. Id rather carry this than use a strap on frame that will scratch frame. Have yet to use it, but so long as it doesn’t crack like regular tubes, sure i’ll be happy.

  8. Stuart (verified owner)

I ride tubeless but I want the precautions of a back up tube in emergency. Turbidity tubes drop my nostalgic weight of 200gms on my bike. Less is more.

  9. M. Phelps (verified owner)

Great weight and space saving spare inner tube to carry on your mtb trails when you have a flat on your tubeless tire that can’t be repaired… and it will work just like a regular inner tube as long as you don’t over-inflate it. Happy trails!

Not much to comment on here. The material is much stiffer than a normal butyl rubber tube which does make installation a little more difficult. The thing that I really like about them so far is that they hold air very well. In general, I ride the bike about once a week. I am used to tires losing multiple psi in a time frame like that. Generally, I have found that I’m adding back about 1 psi before the next ride. Nothing else notable that I can think of right now. I haven’t had a flat in 3-4 months of riding, so maybe they are pretty good at puncture resistance but it could just be luck too.
