I also have the Yepp Maxi Seattube Adapter and I find this to be superior in comparison. These 2 adapters are made because there are 2 different seats so we have both types and prefer this one over the seattube. This feels extremely secure on my bike and I feel no move whatsoever. I also like that it is sleek when I remove the seat, it only looks like its part of the rear rack.

Bought a Yepp child seat and needed this adaptor to attach to my bike rack. This thing has a lot of galvanized steel (heavy) and a plastic cover slipped over the top to polish off the look. I know as a steel fabricator, that this unit could be lighter / better , but that would probably put price point too high . Safe/heavy/cheap/necessary

Works but naturally ads height to the seat raising the center of gravity a touch.

I didn’t know that you had to get the right chair, rack and an adapter. Adds a lot to the overall cost. I wish that the description was much more clear on what is needed to get a “working” chair.

This was a great adapter. We needed something like this so we can put our infant’s bike seat on top of it while attached to my bike. It’s very sturdy and after having it several months is still holding strong and Kees the infant bike seat in place. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

While I was removing the adapter from one bike rack to place onto another, when I pulled up, the bolts that hold the back brackets in place BROKE. I can’t believe something that is supposed to accommodate a child seat could be made of what seems to be plastic bolts. I’m horrified I was riding around a city with my child using something so cheaply made. I contacted Thule’s customer support as well as this seller about the issue. I love the Thule child seat itself but this adapter is absolute crap.

This was not easy to install!!! The thule yepp bike seat adapter is not compatible with most racks!!! The locking mechanism on the seat itself does not lock fully when the seat is securely fastened to the rack!!! The space clearance between the riders seat and the child seat is close that the kid will be eating the riders back!!! I would not recommend thule products. I had to adapt my rack to fit this piece of crap on it!!!

This product works as intended, but it is heavy, and the top cover falls off. My wife and I each bought one so we could easily transfer the matching seat back and forth between our bikes. It’s very sturdy, and it’s both quick and easy to complete the transfer. However, there is a plastic attachment covering the metal frame that easily falls off and renders the adapter useless. We lost one transporting the bikes and Thule doesn’t offer a replacement part. I recommend securing it to the metal frame with a zip tie so it doesn’t fall off. I also with Thule would stand behind their product and replace the part.

I was skeptical about this, based on other reviews. It is a bit heavy, and whether the plastic topper (why is that even there?) stays on remains to be seen. But, it was easy to install and it fit on my Yuba Kombi 2020, which was something I couldn’t confirm in advance of buying it. So, there’s that.

Overall a great adapter. Only issue is that its a feels counter intuitive in putting it on. The allen wrench with handle was very useful in getting it tight. We found that if we tightened the first bolt about 85% (just enough that it did not fall off the platform it was mounted too but enough to allow for some shifting), then tighten the second bolt, that it allowed for final adjustments without worrying about the whole thing falling off.
