The instructions are a bit hard to understand and it leaves out some important details like how the clamps need to be loosed before installation. When I was installing my set, the clamps were loose out of the box, but they wouldn’t fit on my SUV. It took me over an hour of fiddling before I realized that they could be loosened more. After that, it takes some trial and error to get them to sit completely perfect on the roof. That wasn’t as frustrating, but you have to be extra careful. However once they’re on, they’re great. I’ve put 1,500 miles on them with a full carrier box on top, and no issues. Sturdy and drama-free.

Be sure you get the one that fits your car/truck. Most are NOT interchangeable between vehicles. All said, though these are expensive for what you get, they fit perfectly with the right mounts.
