Could be a little louder. Works well for music but when I try to listen to books it’s just too quiet to follow. Very easy to use! I like that there’s no software needed. My computer sees it just like a flash drive and I just drop the music into the folder and it plays. Only downside to it’s operation so far is that I can’t figure out how to shuffle the music and because of it’s ease of use, there’s no way that I’ve found to set-up playlists. So it’s the same music in the same order every day.

I’ve tried several different brands of waterproof mp3s. Here’s the good and the bad:This one is the most comfortable, has the best features and has decent sound quality, but they just aren’t durable! This is my 3rd one! They only last about a year. I swim 2-3 times/week in a chlorinated pool for 1 1/2 – 2 1/2 hours at a time. I follow the directions to a “T” in terms of care and maintenance and yet it still just doesn’t last. I keep coming back to this product because I do like it, I just get tired of having to purchase a new one so frequently. I think that if Sony stands behind their products I shouldn’t have to buy an extended warranty either. I understand that I am in the water for a long time, but I still think that for the price it should last more than a year!!!

Bass response is on par with cheapo $20 earbuds, which is very disappointing. But, it meets or exceeds all other requirements I have for an MP3 player/headphones.Pros:- Light weight, ergonomic, long battery, intuitive controls, sufficient memory, software not needed for Windows w/ MP3s- ‘Ambient noise function’ is REALLY COOL. Works similar to electronic earmuffs for firearms; lets ambient noise in even though your ears are plugged by the earbuds. I leave this on most of the time.Cons:- Poor Bass ?Other Thoughts:- No Bluetooth, which is what I want. I don’t want GHz blasting next to my brain more than I need to.- Waterproofness is a great feature that will hopefully save the unit from accidents, but I do not plan to use it in the water.

I started getting used to the convenience of wireless ear buds but was disappointed in the sound quality for classical music. These give you same convenience with really high quality sound (the difference between these and anything bluetooth is night and day).Other major positive is the design is a lot better than earlier versions of this product. The buttons are spaced far enough apart so it’s easy to tell what you’re pushing while they’re on your head.

I bought several of Sonys waterproof earphones in the past. They all serve the purpose. And the sound quality is reasonably good. Loading music into the earphone is quite simple but without too much control of the order of playing.

I bought this product so that I could listen to music whilst swimming. It came recommended as the best product from a swimming orientated site. Out the box, I realized that there is NO bluetooth and it functions as a standalone music player. A little inconvenient, but ok, my oversight. So, lets load some music onto the device. I install the packaged software, SONY Music Centre for PC. My only options are to import mp3/AAC files or CDs… What year is this? I appreciate that the last year has been the proverbial flaming brown paper bag left on the doorstep, but come on SONY. Who has a CD collection in 2021? In a world of paid streaming content where I sit squarely in the , this device is utterly useless. Yes, I can illegally download content and load it onto the device. But honestly it’s just not worth the effort. I just want to fight the good fight trying to combat my middle aged spread by swimming a few lengths without loosing my mind to the boring solitude of th

Redoing this review because there are to many idiots buying this product not knowing what it does or its functionality. First off, this is not a BLUETOOTH, it is a standalone mp3 player used for workouts and Swimming. Secondly, you have to use a program (download it) called music center for PC, its not as user friendly as Itunes but it gets the job done. Third, these have a noise amplification when you are not listening to music which is nice. TO use these when swimming, you have to switch our ear buds to the swimming ones which will produce a more muffled sound but it works regardless. I really like these earphones and I dont want to carry my phone around to listen to music, Im to busy actually swimming or working out to fiddle with my phone.

I liked it at first but each swim they would fall out of my ears and really distracted me from my swims. I’m a distance swimmer normally swim 2 miles in the pool over that distance these just don’t stay in your ears. I tried all the tips and couldn’t get it to fit right. I returned the item

As a swimmer, the addition of music to my routine was a game changer. I use these headsets for both water and land activities and I love the fact that they’re all in one, no additional device to pair with. This is my second pair, the first ones just died…after a couple of years. I’m hoping that is not going to happen again so quickly this time.

I have been using the various iterations of this product for about 15 years. This version costs twice as much and is far worse on virtually every feature. The sound quality is terribly reduced, the fit is smaller, the buttons are smaller and difficult to press, and it comes preloaded with a bunch of garbage music not shown in the folder that will interrupt your listening experience. After a lifetime with being a happy sony products user, I will find an alternative brand for my workout player. For those who are interested, buying the older models does not solve the problem, because when they sit too long unused, the battery will be dead. I purchased two of these before trying this model. Both had the same problem.
