Plays stiff, so remember to go for. Two pounds from what you normally play. Great spin and tension retention. I usually play with Dunlop Black Widow but has been wanting something with a stiffer feel.

Good string but as you string it tighter it has a tendency to break quickly. There’s a world of difference between 58 and 54 for instance. 3-4 times the lifespan.

I was surprised because I’ve been buying my tennis supplies on Amazon for years. I know it happens but as long as the item works and isn’t damaged I’m ok with it. In this case half the product is missing. The reel plastic box is all unsealed around and the string rolls off perfectly and the empty is space is huge. Its also arrived in an old plastic bag with three scotch strips. I’ve included an image of what the normal reel for a 20 gauge would look like because I know the first comment will be: 20 gauge is thin, it takes up less space.I gave it a 3 star because the shipment was quick and I am sure this was a mistake. I just requested a replacement.

I string racquets for my tennis group, and find this string plays well for power, spin, and durability. At $11 a stringing, this is a very effective and cost saving string. Plays very much like Natural Gut for spin and power. Natural Gut is a slight favorite for touch, but when you consider this string will outlast Gut 10-15 times, the tough advantage is mitigated. Recommended.

My son is a UTR 5.6 and loves this string. He strings his racquets himself. He’s found other string that’s easier to manipulate when stringing the racquet (this one isn’t bad – he’s found much more difficult string to work with). But he loves the performance, so it’s a minor trade off.
