Wide range of voltage support

The UL-certified Shelly 1 can control one electrical circuit up to 3.5kW or 15 amps. No matter if your project requires 12 V DC, 110-230 V AC or 24-60 V DC, you simply set the correct voltage via the jumpers on your Shelly 1 and realize every Smart Home project. Additionally, Shelly 1 has an optional add-on for temperature, humidity, reed switch and other sensors. It is intended to be mounted inside a standard in-wall console, behind power sockets, light switches or other places with limited space.

These little guys are so versatile it’s awesome. I’ve got one automating and controlling my garage door and several lights and love working with them! Use the native MQTT functionality or flash em to run in Home Assistant or use the app! Great product. Biggest issue is I keep wanting to do more projects with them

wrecked 1 of the 2 trying to get the jumper moved to 12v.. for both had to take needle nose plyers and break away the blue plastic till i could even get the the jumpers.. not sure why the other is not working.. think the jumper is hosed.

  3. Brian (verified owner)

The jumper design is ridiculous. Just snap the device apart so you can actually change it. But why bother? I spent an entire day trying to connect a single device. One out of the hundreds of times I tried it actually connected. I got it to activate the relay then it disappeared and hasn’t been able to connect since. No customer service at all. The app is pitifully designed.

Very vesitile little switch. Used them both on AC power to control a floodlight, and with 12VDC to interface my Hubitat Hub with my old wired alarm system. Very fast switching even with a weak WiFi signal.

Great product! I use many brands of home automation devices and I have several Shelly 1’s around the house; one controlling the street light out front to turn off before sunrise and on before dark. Much better than a lame light bulb with daylight sensor which doesn’t respond well to cloudy mornings. Others are used in concert with light switches and Amazon Alexa. No issues with Wifi or getting them set up.

The product itself seems useful, but the app renders it useless. It’s a challenge to navigate, buttons randomly stop working, it’s nearly impossible to add a device, and if it updates, all your settings/rooms/etc. get messed up and your devices disappear. I’m stuck after the last update with devices that I can’t use.If you buy these, you need to use something like Home Assistant to use them, because the Shelly app doesn’t work.

I have 3 of these controlling simple on/off of ceiling fans. I have them wired behind the standard toggle switch. The toggle switch can be used to override the Shelly switch and works similar to a 3 way switch. All 3 of these integrated seamlessly with home assistant.

Difficult to join to the app. EXTREMELY difficult to figure out how to reset. For those that are wondering on how to reset – this is crazy, ready?Apply power to the L and N inputs. Then put 12v power on the SW input 5 times. Best way to do this if you DON’T have a switch handy is to take a jumper wire and place it on the N and then on the SW repeatedly.Hope I save someone a headache with this – I know I had one.

Bit by bit we are making our home smarter. The most recent addition was a Ring Wired doorbell. The previous doorbell would ring chimes in the home, but the wired Rind doorbell does not do this, so we produced a solution using the Shelly One. The Shelly One in this solution puts the door chime on the network as a programmable device so it could be included as an action for when the doorbell is pressed. There is some electrical knowledge required to wire up the switch correctly. The switch is powered by 12 v DC or 120 v AC. I chose the simple default of 120v AC. I cut the power cord off a device that I was discarding and wired it into the Shelly switch, wind that you get the hot and neutral wired to the correct terminals. The next thing is to wire the door chime into the circuit with the 16v transformer that is used to power the Ring and the Doorbell Chime. The Shelly smart switch is used to open and close the circuit to the Chime. Once that is done then plug in th

I REALLY wanted to like these switches because they offer the functions I want. Or at least they say they do. However…setup is torture. I’m pretty tech savvy, followed all the instructions and YouTube videos, but key pieces of info are left out. For example, when setting up a Shelly 1, not only does the switch need power, but it needs to be hooked up to something that draws current. Switches regularly go offline and need to be reset, which is way more complicated than it needs to be (and shouldn’t happen at all).
