Schwalbe SV21 Inner Tubes are designed & manufactured to retain air pressure considerably longer than their competitors. Not only is each individual tube inflated & inserted into a mould to ensure that there is even wall thickness & excellent air retention, they are also stored under pressure for 24hrs to test air retention.
Airtightness: Schwalbe tubes retain air pressure considerably longer. The quality and the material purity of the rubber mixture directly effects the quality of the tube. Each Schwalbe tube is individually inflated and inserted into a mold. This ensures the even wall thickness and excellent air retention.
Reliability: Consistent quality control brings with it the security of use: Each tube is inflated at the factory and stored under pressure for 24 hours in order to test the air retention.
Group Tube System: The high elasticity and quality material used in our tubes allows a great many tyre sizes to be covered. Only an extremely high-quality and reliable tube is up to this requirement.
Retains pressure longer! In comparative tests against other tubes (including named brands, own-label brands and no name products). The result was clear. Over a period of 30 days the other tubes lost nearly twice as much pressure than Schwalbe tubes. Possible reasons: Less butyl content, or lower quality of of butyl. Schwalbe is uncompromising in its standards, despite ever increasing world market prices of butyl.

For 650B rim size and a 1.5″ narrow tire, there were very few options. most inner tubes at this rim diameter are made for 2″ and wider balloon tires.This inner tube fit the schwalbe marathon just fine.others rate schwalbe tube quality as pretty good. I can’t say yet– I only just mounted them. have no reason to doubt though.

Tubes are fine and shipping was as described but not having any way to track the shipment was disconcerting because you don’t know when it will arrive and they estimate a 2 week window.

These tubes are advertised as having an average weight of 145 grams but my two averaged 210 grams. There is no excuse for this much discrepancy in spec’s. Also, I saw no significant difference in the width of this tube claiming OK for1.5″ tires vs the 1.9-2.1″ Nashbar tubes I have that also weigh less and those also worked fine on the 38 mm (1.5″) tires I used them on. The price is reasonable and the quality is there so I am not saying to not use these tubes either, they are good tubes but just warning that they are not super light as claimed.

I know punctures are expected but, both inner-tubes punctured within a week of installation and the second one is unrepairable even though the puncture is needlepoint in diameter. I went through two boxes of two different types of patches and the tiny whole will not plug.

My first tube lasted 5 months and the stem blew out. I changed out to the other tube I had and it had a flaw in the valve stem causing it to go flat 2 miles from my house. Won’t buy these again.

These innertubes are very tough and durable. A very little amount or no air is required to keep the tire hard. However, installation is very slow going to keep the tube installed ununiformly in the tire without breaking the tire seal to the rim.

I had problems right away, this will NOT fit 2.4 width tires, these tubes are far too narrow. Also, the valve is not robust.
