I bought this specifically to use on an Origin Gi as it was pilling. Supposedly just ‘rolling’ more is supposed to resolve this, but after rolling for 6 months with it, the only thing the pilling did was get worse.I finally broke down and researched a lint shaver and took my chances with this one. As you can see in the images, it does an amazing job. It’s comfortable to hold for long periods of time, and dumping the lint chamber is very easy.I spent about an hour or so working on my Gi as it was atrocious. This thing has it looking brand new. My best piece of advice when working on something like this material is to do random patterns. Do figure eights, circles, back and forth, etc all while varying the degree of the face of the shaver.My only suggestion to Philips would be to have the power slider ‘snap’ into the “on” or “off” position. It’s pretty easy to turn off when you are using it. I also wish they made them a bit larger so it was quicker to go over large surface areas, but not a huge deal.

We used it one month and I can’t get it to turn on and tried all I know. I’ve never had a product fizzle out just after one month. What a disappointment and waste of $15.00, and now more plastic crap to the landfill. Flash forward 20 seconds….. I tried one more thing before submitting. A bit of a push on the razor fan and it seemed to secure it to make the connection. Voila, it works. I’ve upped my review from 1 to 3 stars. I do not like the way that the lint gets stuck around the razors and doesn’t all fall into the compartment. I had to clean it out with a tweezers. That was a bit frustrating too. The razors do look sharp, and now that we figured out why it stopped spinning, perhaps it will be just fine and stay out of the landfill?

You can easily take apart all the relevant elements to clean lint out of the holder, out of the blade, etc. But at the same time, it’s sturdy enough not to come apart when you need it not to. Does its job and haven’t had any issues with battery life, either.

I removed pilling from my sweater via a razor twice. And it was not a clean enough result. this electric lint remover got rid of every lint so fast! It is easy to use and is definitely worth it.

I left my good brookstone sweater shaver at my ex-boyfriend’s. I thought, “hey it was inexpensive, I will just buy another inexpensive one”. How wrong I was. There are NOT other razors in the sea if you will. Men, yes. Clothes Shavers apparently not. Certainly this Phillips razor is not even remotely a contender. It is small and slow and the lint container gets filled and clogged easily. Can’t use it on anything too fluffy like a marled cashmere. Stick with synthetics or fine merino and it works but even thick cotton it struggles. I mean, it was inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for but I think (I hope) there are better products out there.

I have a black jacket that I’m terribly fond of. A bit of a cheapie so the material pills up. However I love how it fits so I didn’t want to just toss the jacket. I purchased this handy little pill shaver and voila. Worked like a charm to remove all the fuzz from my jacket. I’m a happy camper

We use this product on our fabrics covered ottoman. The fabric was clearly pulling on the spaces we lost often used. We used this product on the worst part first and honestly when we were done that part looked just as good as the part which was “pill free” due to lack of use. I was skeptical … no more! This works!
