Color is 4000k, so it’s not white. But I prefer this over the Philips 6000k because I feel like the 6000k is a bit too blue. If only there was a 5000k then it would’ve been perfect.

Have had no issues for 2 months – they flicker a little on startup and fade out but a simple capacitor in parallel would fix that. I’m just too lazy to add that. Also, in some cars, these lights may fade super dim but not “turn off”. That’s due to how the lights are controlled. In my case, it hasn’t added significant drain. I metered the current they drew when they were dimmed and it was below 0.01 amps. Trust me, that won’t affect your battery unless you plan to leave it for a LONG time.Edit: So… like 8 months in? I can’t do math. Either way, I think these LED’s were a good investment. They’ve held up great. I actually went ahead and added a little capacitor in parallel with them to get rid of the flicker caused by my car’s amazing 10 year old electrical system, just like I mentioned. I also came to appreciate the faint glow that they give off when they “turn off” because of how they are controlled by the car. So heck, get yourself some. I like em’.

Just like their D2S Ultinon counterparts, the quality and output is unbeatable. I’m hoping Philips releases an amber version of these bulbs soon.UPDATE 10/12/17:I’m so disappointed as this is the first Philips bulb to ever fail on me. Not so the lighting output but actual construction of this particular bulb. The cap that encloses the led came apart from the housing INSIDE my QX80 headlight. What a PITA to just remove the headlight in order to remove the loose piece that separated from the bulb.

At first these lights were very nice and bright. Well that did not last long. One day one of the bulbs started to flicker and go on and off and then stayed off. Then the second one did the same thing. I liked the look but the durability is terrible and the price is way too high for such short lifespan. going back to the stock bulbs. Lesson learned

Installed these on my 2019 Subaru Forester Sport door illumination. Perfect fit.LED’s are a much brighter than stock bulbs. I have not had a LED bulb go out before so cannot attest to the durability at this time but Philips guaranties the bulbs for a few years anyways.I purchased the 4000k temperature and the color matches the interior stock LED lighting perfectly.

I was kind of annoyed when all I could find in the big box stores was the standard 6k tint. Finally I stumbled on these. I dont actually think these are still relevant, I dont know maybe they are. Phillips didnt seem to have them on their website anymore telling me at the time I bought them maybe they were like an older generation model. I mean Ill give it to you, the phillips stuff is super realiable. I will never buy cheap leds again. These are great though. Not overly blue, and just enough warmth to make them look classy and not cheap. Tops are actual glass, which is a really nice touch. Love these bulbs!!

Compare to bare open type LED bulb this Philips 194 has a better result. It has less dead spots, I would guess because of the plastic cover and would give the 360 degrees effect. The color accuracy of 6000K is more pleasing to your eyes than my old bare LED bulb which is important. Also, it has a better light reach, what I mean by this is when reading a typed document I don’t need to move the paper closer to the emitted light. The value of this LED bulb it seems in the expensive side near $20 US dollars. Although, it says it has a 12-year warranty claim, so when it happens and warrant the claim then the “value” I would say is excellent. Then maybe the value “stars” would be at the 5-star count.

After a week reading reviews about Ied bulbs I decided trust Philips. I put it like all the bulbs that I installed in my cars in the last 15 years. I tried to turn in on but does not work (probably for the polarity). Then I tried to pull it out to put it inverted. It never came out. In the first try the plastic that cover the led broke. Then I had to use a plier to took it out. Very disapointed about Philips quality. Could be the fact that is “Made in China” the reason.Update: Amazon give me a refund. Thanks!

I installed these on my Star White 2020 Explorer ST. The incandescents were ok, but brown light compared to these white-light LEDs! Not too bright to be offensive, but clear, white, REAR license plate light.Caution! Most instructions tell you to turn off all lights before changing these. Do that before you remove the incancandecent ones because those suckers are HOT. Then turn the lights back on. These LEDs are polarized! They go in only one way – and they’re a bi*#h to get out if you put them in wrong. Turn the lights on and just touch the bulbs to the socket – if it lights, push it in; if not, turn the bulb 180° and try again. If it lights, push it in; if not, either the bulb is bad or you forgot to turn the lights on.PJ

I love the brightness and the brilliant white light. You do have to make sure they are installed in the correct direction. They have a plus and minus polarization. If they don’t light up, turn the light bulbs around. I am very happy with these so far. They do cost more than many of the other bulbs, but the packaging boasts a possible 12 year lifespan. I decided to take a chance on these. I did try the cheaper ones, but they tended to last less than a year. So I hope that these are better.
