Great light. I have/had a lot of headlamps. This is super easy to use and very bright. Red, green, blue, and white allows for use for any application.

The lower angle of this head lamp works good for walking trails at night – I’m 6’1” and it lights the deck about 5’ in front of me, much closer than my Black Diamond. The white light has three settings and I can’t imagine needing the high setting too often as medium is sufficient for just about anything in the field. Unless you want to blind your friends – then go for it. The red light is brighter than I hoped so it’s a no go for deployments. Red and blue lights are about the same as the red. All in all, good system for camping and hunting. I just wish I could dim the colored lights. Oh and the housing doesn’t seem like it will withstand too much water, no o ring so probably ok for Army or anyone else who doesn’t plan on getting wet. 😉 just kidding guys

I had this one before it got stolen, good headlamp though.-White light is really bright, the ability to change from white light to red, green and blue/w the option to make each color flash.-Though I’m not confident about this being out in the rain because the battery compartment is not sealed completely.-Would get their NOCTILIGHT lantern case for extra protection and ability to turn this headlamp into small lantern for in-tent activities.

This is an updated review that is based upon the failure of the switch in this headlamp. The headlamp is advertised as having a five (5) year warranty. My initial review was very positive. I had found this headlamp to be extremely useful and it was a very significant improvement over similar earlier headlamps of similar style.However, after only a number of months the switch began to malfunction. It frequently wouldn’t work at all, would jump between lighting modes without contact and shut off unexpectedly. I contacted Petzl to inquire about repair of the unit and to date have not received any response. I’ll continue to try and get response to my inquiry and will update this review as events (if any) occur!

So waited until after hunting season to review this lamp. I hunt deer, elk, and predators. Typically, I would enter and exit the woods in the dark. I have used all 4 light colors to some extent and found them all provide adequate illumination. The different levels of white light are great while tracking. I could use the lamp for multiple days before recharging and after it spent days in my truck not charging. Hands-down the best lamp I own to date!

I liked this producto very much, the reviews are right on, easy to use, diferent modes of lights and it has one that is impresively bright, the price quality is great in this product.

I like these headlights for everything. I’ve taken one on deployment so I could work outside at night with both the blue and red lights when we’re maintaining a low light signature. Also love it for hunting, when you trekking back and fourth at dawn/dusk and want to keep a low profile.

Lots of light to focus on detailed work in the dark.

This is a light weight easy use headlamp. Three brightness settings and an extremely simple to use design.I would order it again.
