I missed using a pen with a retractable point. This is well-made and feels solid. I have large hands and would’ve liked to have a pen that was thicker otherwise this is terrific and the refill that comes with it is wonderful. It is smooth riding does not skip and dries quickly. This is a great gift for people who still use pens!

When I write I like to have and use good quality pens, and Parker is usually my favorite for good quality and reasonably priced pens.Besides the Sonnet, I am really liking this Jotter XL. I do have the regular Jotter, but I feel the XL has better weight to me along with the thickness when holding.

I’ve always loved Parker pens, and especially the Jotter. I’ve carried them in my shirt as a cop, because they write beautifully, and they look great with the arrow clip. I took a chance on this new “XL” version, and it’s even more comfortable to write with than my classic Jotters. My only complaint is that there’s not as much detail in the feathers on the arrow clip, but hey, they had to make it look different, right? I plan to get several more of the matte black ones for my Army uniforms.

The Jotter XL is the size all of these new Jotters should be. It feels good in the hand and is a normal pen size unlike the color barrel jotters which are thin and tiny by comparison. Shouldn’t have to pay a premium for a pen just to have it be a normal size.

Coating scratches very easily. Constantly unscrew itself, comes apart on its own often. Initial ink cartridge fails mid sentence often, leaving me looking for a scrap piece of paper to scribble on until it flows again. All in all, not with the money. I should have returned it the first time it fell apart

I appreciate a really good pen. As someone who writes a lot, what you use is important. I put a lot of thought into the pens I regularly use. Parker Jotters have always been a classic. In this case, the Jotter XL fits my style and hand perfectly. Plus it looks wonderful! Simple and elegant.

I lover Parker pens.. I currently have 3. 2 silver and 1 gold. I bought a second gold pen for a coworker. My old uniform had silver “Jewelry” and when myself and a coworker got promoted, our “Jewelry” became gold. Had to get the correct look! Writes great, looks great! Highly recommend!

This is a great Pen but is larger than the standard Parker I have been using. It is approximately .5″ longer and a little bit fatter. Which is why the XL designation.The action is very smooth and seems softer that the traditional Parker.None of these are criticisms and this is a great Pen.It came with a nice box and I purchased a second one as a gift.

I’ve owned a different jotter in matte black and unfortunately the tip got scuffed early on when I accidentally dropped it on a sidewalk. I’ve been a bit more careful with this one because of it. The XL is more substantial in the hand than a regular jotter. This full matte black version also has a more handsome appearance than the half silver half matte one I used to have, in my opinion.
