I bought this to roll sheets of polymer clay. I followed the instructions for cleaning before the first use. I then tried rolling clay. No matter what thickness setting I chose, there were wavy striations across the width of the sheet of clay that came out of the machine. There were also vertical lines, almost like scratches, running the length of the sheet of clay. I tried it both with some clay that had previously been opened (purple, in the photos) and also with a freshly-opened block (turquoise) and had the same results. I don’t know whether this can be corrrected by doing something else. If not, I will be returning this item.UPDATE: Using a magnifying glass to look at the rollers, I saw there were some gouges (nicks) in one roller and also lines going around the roller (not smudges) that probably caused the lengthwise lines in my clay. I added some photos of the roller. I’m returning this machine. Unfortunately, since the seller, Cooking on Mars, appear

Great pasta roller (my second, because the first accidentally got wet and then wouldn’t work). Gradations and cranking is easy. I love to use it. My only problem is that the clamp does not work on my counter top- it is not deep enough to fit without coming off when cranking. I have a rounded edge granite top approximately 1 3/4″ deep and it kept sliding off. I had to buy another clamp in a hardware store, but it’s not made for it, so not great. Also, be very careful not to get it wet.

Gave it 4 stars because it wasn’t working when it arrived. One of the rollers would not turn. I had to open up the unit and realign the gears. After everything was put back together it worked perfectly! Mainly purchased to roll the dough for flour tortillas. Makes perfect taco size and faster than rolling by hand.

I use it for polymer clay. It works pretty well but isn’t the easiest to clean underneath. It can leave residue from previous clay because it’s so difficult to clean the bottom parts.

I had 6 other pasta machines and this is the only one that wasn’t a problem. I waited to make this review because I wanted to use the machine longer than any of those other ones were used. I would hate it if someone gave a rave review about an item and three days after I bought it, based on the review seeming to be real but actually a fraud.Love this one, couldn’t ask for better, tried but no one could provide for my clay needs until this one. I hope I can find a motor for it.Warning, don’t do anything with the blades under the rolls. Dry-wipe only. Don’t try cleaning with anything except an occasional dry paper towel or spraying really hot water between the rollers. Also, if your roller causes ripples at a higher setting, you need to relax the clamps grip. You have it cattywampus.

The media could not be loaded. Very good product. Works perfectly, sturdy and easy to use. So good my 14 year old got in on it and was making spaghettis in minutes.Highly recommend if you’re looking for something inexpensive but quality.WARNING. The clamp that holds the machine to the counter needs a deep lip to get a good bite on in order to be secure. My counter is too narrow and you can see the edge of the clap disk perturbing out.I don’t think I’d blame the design of the machine on this but if you have a counter top that has a narrow lip this may be an issue.

The rollers are just 6.5″ in length so that’s the width to make your dough. Flour the rollers continuously to get the dough through.

We’ve made 1000s of these dumplings and no problem ever. Very reliable and easy to use. 160 Dumpling recipe: 7C dumpling flour with about a 1/4 tsp salt. Add in 2C water while mixing with dough blade. Knead and let sit for and hour covered. Divide into 8 long rolls. Cut each in half lengthwise for a total of 16 around 7″ long each. Place under damp cloth to keep moist. Remove first roll and cut into 10 balls and smash flat. Set machine to 1 and roll out. Set to 3 and repeat. Set to 5 and repeat. If to small dip into flour before rolling on 5. Put in the fillings and pinch closed. Boil in hot water until they float and add to your favorite sauce. Enjoy!
