For those who bring their material to the limits during cross country or downhill and need the highest delay. This is a special brake pad for racers, with maximum deceleration. Squeaking noises and wear have not been taken into account here. The brake pad for anyone who wants or needs to brake the last moment. I was not happy about the brake performance on my rear brake SUr ROn. I have Magura MT5 brake system installed since last year, but the rear brake has always seemed weak. It was nearly impossible to lock up.I finally gave up on cheap pads, and bought these Magura race pads. HUGE DIFFERENCE. I did the typical bedding procedure on my first ride (1 mile down the street to the trail head). They are much better bite than the old pads. I can only hope I get a year out of them. Only have 50 miles of riding on them so far, but they still look good and perform great.

PROS:Authentic German qualityVery Powerful and fast bedding – for racing XC/fast Trailseasy and fast to bed in rotorsCONS:Not a lot of modulation roomGravity/Black long hard tech descents = Will OVERHEAT/ not if… even on my 223/2mm front rotorsSeem to never retain good modulation anymore – NOISY/SQEAKY at slow speed. Now, Expensive usage…So I am going back to my MTXbraking GOLD and RED label pads as they are simply better balanced and for the aggressive and technical riding I do will fast hard descents and slow technical twists and turns where you slow to a controlled crawl to endo navigate — I need brakes that take longer to heat and maintain power AND modulation. Not for Gravity where there is so much more constant kinetic buildup
