magura brakes have good stopping power but are noisy I used some anti-seize lubricant on the back side (contact surface with pistons) seems to help. I won’t buy magura brakes again – switch back to shimano XTR brakes they are trouble free !!!

Have had issues with my rear brakes for awhile. Had swapped pads out right after I purchased bike. New pads worked but were never what i thought they should be. Put these pads on and worked instantly. Brakes are one finger lockup now

I was curious how these 8.P2 pads (2nd gen. of 8.P) perform compared to the 9.P pads came on my Magura MT5e and specially versus newer 8.S pads that is advertised for eBikes!- I’m not sure if I have noticed any braking power or noise difference with 9.P pads’ (which impressively lasted 2000km !!). However these 8.P pads are way easier to un-/install (no need to take out caliper/wheel).- 8.S, compared to 8.P2, pads bedded-in easier (in shorter time) on brand-new MDR-C rotors, have more metal in pad composite material and hence make high-freq. noises of all sort!! (wrongly advertised that they’re quieter!!!), and eat up disk rotor faster! They feel a bit less powerful. I think 8.P2 pads have more rubbery material and hence are grippier, and way quieter, but wear faster!
