I’m a huge Knipex fan in the first place, because of the overwhelming quality and durability of their tools, so I’m probably a bit biased here.As with almost all Knipex products I have owned, these pliers are of tremendous quality. The fit and finish is some of the best that money can buy, as well it should be for the premium that you pay for Knipex products. The grips, as with all Knipex pliers of this line, are wonderful. They’re long lasting and simple but effective. The length on these is particularly nice. They are both very thin and very long, enabling you to get into places that most standard 6″ needle nose pliers simply won’t go. Because they are made of high quality tool steel, you’re able to use them without fear that the thinness has compromised their integrity or made them prone to breakage. I don’t know if one could say that with other brands’ extra-thin pliers, even the US-made ones.If you’ve not yet gotten a pair of long reach, thin needle nose, I suggest picking up a pair of these to fill the gap. They may run you twice what it costs for comparable tools from other manufacturers, but the difference in quality is worth it. In a tool with tips this small and long, not paying for quality is going to catch up with you later. Buy the best the first time out and never look back in regret! One last thing -these pliers don’t seem to be stocked too well, so if you like them and they’re in stock, best pick them up while you have the chance. After I got mine, it said the wait was 2-5 weeks. Ouch!

I have used many cheap tools throughout the years, and for many purposes they are fine. But finely crafted objects, especially tools, are things of joy that can last for generations and make life better and easier. I have a number of Knipex tools and know them to be among the best. This set of needle nose pliers is no exception. Everything is precisely made from excellent materials. The price is significantly higher than even a good set of alternative pliers; however, the quality of the Knipex is FAR superior to most of the common models, and that quality just makes them work much better and last much longer. The only thing that gave me some pause in buying these pliers was the description of them having smooth surfaces on the faces of the jaws, because that could easily cause slippage when using them. I was pleased to find that the jaws actually have finely machined, tiny ridges that will not easily mar the workpiece but will grip it well enough for the more delicate tasks these little pliers are designed to handle. Mine will be primarily devoted to small electrical work where the long, thin jaws are exactly what are needed to hold and bend components. I can see them being used for jewelry, gunsmithing, or other projects where small items and tight spaces are present. I never like to abuse my tools; however, these pliers are strong and durable if used in a reasonable manner. This shouldn’t be the only set of needle nose pliers you own (Knipex makes some great heavier models), but if you do the kind of work they are designed for, you shouldn’t be without them. They really are that good, as are the other Knipex tools I have. Make sure you can keep them in a safe place, because people will want to walk away with tools like this if they ever get their hands on them — and you will feel the pain of loss when you need them and discover they’re missing.

Just what I needed! I had an old pair of needle nose pliers that did well, but they were a little too small. These fit the bill perfectly – the tongs are long enough and can really grip small items in tight spaces. The handles are just what I wanted as far as comfortably fitting my hands. Well worth the expense!

These are great little pliars. They are well made and a joy to use. The tip design is sturdier than most very fine tip pliars and the tips are perfectly aligned.Only complaint is that mine arrived as magnetic. This helped when picking up a small screw I droped but gnerally speaking don’t care for that part.

I use these for Deutsch WedgeLoks when I’m building connectors and they work great. Very glad I upgraded to Knipex and will be gradually upgrading all of my pliers.

Just got these today and as usual, solid knipex quality. The pliers don’t open “easily” they’re stiff and stay open at whatever position you have them which is a good thing. There’s a gap between the Jaws until the very tip of the pliers to hold. Items at the very end rather than in the back. Again, makes sense. These should last a life time.

As a Electrical Engineer, these could easily be the best mid-sized pliers I’ve ever used, some of the domestic Japanese small pliers are also fantastic. No regrets in purchase.

The robust design and smooth operation make these tools a jack of all trades. Today alone, they have helped me address two challenges around the home. Snipe nose pliers are really great for tasks that would otherwise be extremely tedious and time consuming.I have used them to extract a corroded battery stuck deep in a flashlight, to stretch 3/16″ tubing to fit a barbed fitting made for 1/4″, and to remove push-in retainer clips used for automotive trim.A particularly thoughtful feature of these pliers is the chamfer at the tip that allows the points to be inserted in very small gaps. I’m sorry I didn’t buy these German-made beauties years ago!

I specifically sought these out as they were made in Europe but unfortunately it seems the manufacturer is cutting corners. The mating surfaces of the pliers aren’t very accurately ground at the tip, they don’t even come together properly and it makes holding smaller things difficult. Given that the surfaces aren’t stippled or knurled in any way means they need to come together perfectly to be effective. Also, no spring loading on them makes them inferior to a $5 pair bought at Walmart. Shame.
