Needed a chain for a project build ( Shimano)This was available next day and had good reviews. Sure enough it came next day and after I’d took the required number of links out it went on a treat. Nice Powerlock link.Took it out for a ride and yes it’s nice and smooth, changes gears a treat.It looks quality so only time will tell how long it lasts, but very good so far.

I bought this as a like for like replacement for my last chain.That had 5,000 miles of riding in it, and not a problem.I wouldn’t expect any issues from this either – it was a doddle to fit, and I’m looking forward to the next 5,000 miles!

This chain is easy to fit, and the case includes quick-change links. However, the chain has a waxy coating which is a bit tackier than other brands I’ve used – better check the recommended post-install lubrication regime. Certainly you’ll want to find a clean surface to work on, as any time the chain brushes the floor it collects every last speck of dust & hair, very efficiently.I like the price, too. No concerns about durability – my chain has put up with a lot of punishment.

Was a SRAM chain user before fitting this to my 105 groupset; Not anymore, easy to fit & seems much quieter than the SRAM (and it’s not simply because it’s new). Smooth changes and runs fine. Will buy again.

This chain had a kink in a link and and wouldn’t run round cogs and jockey wheels smoothly.Maybe I just got unlucky with a faulty one.

No way is this genuine KMC. I’ve always bought KMC X11 chains and know what to expect. This one was a spare and i put it on mid ride. It lasted 10 miles, if that, until a pin snapped at BOTH ENDS. The material seems like a die cast soft metal. The stamping on the metal plate is different to a genuine X11 too. Absolutely a fake, even arrived in generic packaging. Also wouldnt index properly on the bike, jumping cogs etc. Avoid.

The plating is not the same as genuine kmc chain is counterfeit Chinese item I buy these chains every 6 months for commuter bike I would not recommend this item.

I have always used KMC’s chains for both my gravel (x10) and road bike (x11) . Both use shimano gearing/sprockets and have no issues with either.Service from seller was excellent. Mailed out same day…Definitely recommend these chains….

Firstly, this chain has nearly doubled in price since this time last year which is weird, because the increase in price happened after the initial supply chain shock from the pandemic. Secondly, I have purchased this chain for my last few chain replacements, and have had no complaints until now. After maybe 150 miles one of the chain links snapped (not the master link) and left me stranded in the middle of a ride. I only use it for urban commuting/riding; no gravel or mountain biking which makes me think that it may have been a manufacturing issue. Hopefully no one else has the same experience as me, especially now as the price has doubled!
