This pen comes with one short blue international ink cartridge so you are ready to start writing straight away. The classic sporty and compact look of the fountain pen transcend time and fashion, meaning they are just as beautiful as when they were first designed years ago. The compact pen is perfectly portable and ideal for use in the home and office and perfectly fits Kaweco’s slogan of being ‘small in the pocket, great in the hand’.

The medium is a little broader than expected, although it was anticipated when buying a German pen as opposed to Japanese. The performance is beautiful and the feel is perfectly ergonomic — not too heavy or wide of a barrel, fitting in my small hand perfectly. It feels good to write with posted. I even like it unposted too. It’s a joy to write with and a delight to look at with the white and gold being a perfect marriage of colors.I also purchased the extra fine nib for my everyday writing and use the medium for drawing, which is fun to do with this pen with its light weight and fluid lines. I also added a clip which makes it look even more distinctive. The Kaweco Sport Classic is excellent value and a great quality writing instrument. I love its fun, modern, minimalist design while still appearing classy, especially with the additional clip. One more point of note: the screw cap is great which gives me peace of mind when putting the pen in my purse knowing that

After nearly a month of being led about in a Fool’s Parade by the original third-party seller I traded with, I finally ordered, and received a satisfactory replacement pen from the seller Seitz-Global.This is a lovely, compact fountain pen which performs very well. Coupled with the gold-tone Kaweco pen clip (sold separately ASIN: B00IUGG8HU). this is a richly-appointed everyday pen one can easily pop into a back pocket, small purse, or clip into a Travelers Notebook. Can be filled via specific short, international cartridges (Kaweco brand, or my personal fav: “Diamine” offered in a plethora of colours!), or the specifically designated converter for “short” Kawaco pens.Should you choose to purchase this pen, please select the seller you buy from carefully.I have had negative experiences with one seller in particular and am issuing a warning to please check the Sellers Profile section and heed the percentage of negative feedback provided by others. This information is provided to inform & protect us, the buyers. In fact, it’s wise to check the profile page of any seller prior to ordering.I was able to reach a satisfactory resolution but only after contacting Amazon & having them go to bat for me.The Kaweco Classic Sport fountain pen is a great writing experience. Don’t let yours be ruined by a negative experience with a seller’s questionable practices. Thanks for reading & Happy Writing!-CC, Amazon Prime Member-Reviewer4/17 Update: Original seller, MarketFair Stationers, that I had so much trouble with REALLY bent-over backwards to make things right. This was an unexpected, yet very pleasant surprise.I’m actually rather impressed with their sincerity, and wanted to mention this in all fairness to them.In fact, I may just use my new Kaweco Classic Sport to jot them a note of appreciation!Nonetheless, “Caveat Emptor” is advice we would all do well to heed. -CC

Okay so, this is my first own kaweco that I’ve owned in their entry level price point. I also have 2 AL sports and a copper liliput. Those three great surpass the classic sport in usability and construction. Now that’s not to say this is bad, actually I love this pen (I have the same one, white body, gold trim, m nib) and the medium nib is nice and lightly lubricated with the right ink (currently using diamine oxblood in it)But like others have said it feels cheap, it’s a little expensive for what it is BUT that being said it’s crazy durable, it’s meant to be kicked around, thrown in a bag/purse/car etc. But for some reason the threads SQUEAK, this is because it’s brand new and needs to be broken in but that was a slight turn off because the AL sports don’t do that.Yes I enjoy the AL sport more for its weight, construction, looks, etc but the classic sport should be in everyone’s collection if they are serious Kaweco collectors.

I love this pen but the extra fine tip is just a bit too thin for me. Other than that, it writes smooth and doesn’t skip.

Although a bit expensive for being fully plastic, the finishes on this pen are great. Not the smoothest one out there, but it is reliable, always writhing when needed. One kind of annoying fact is the lack of converter for the price. Al around is a great product if you find it for the right price

I have bought various Lamy, Pilot, Platinum, Conklin, Waterman, Parker, TWSBI, Jinhao, Wing Sung and Hero brand pens and love them all. This is my first Kaweco. The pen is tiny and you must post the cap to comfortably write with it. If you want a clip, it’s a separate purchase. My pen did come with a cartridge but it was stuck inside the body and I only found it when I was inserting another international standard cartridge. For new purchasers, open up the pen and tap on the body so the cartridge can slide out. It writes very well and the line is probably between a fine and extra fine for the Asian fountain pens. The nib is pretty smooth for the EF point. It is a dry writer that I can use without any ghosting on regular notebook paper. There is also no skipping. For those fountain pen addicts like myself, the Lamy Safari is the closest alternative to this Kaweco Sport. Both are high quality plastic and quirky (Kaweco with its short pen length and Lamy with its icon

This little pen is my daily driver. Smooth writing and consistent. Just overall a very functional writing instrument.

I bought this pen in January. I have a brass Kaweco Sport I really like, the price on this was reasonable, so why not? When I received it, the ink cartridge included in the barrel was open, so the pen was a mess inside. I should have returned it then, but I assumed it was a fluke and it was easy enough to clean. I didn’t use the pen much initially, and only at home. I didn’t get around to carrying it with me to work until yesterday. It leaked horribly from the feed. I tried my best to clean it, but I encountered another issue. A Kaweco nib/feed fits into a collar, which threads into the grip section of the pen. In this case, that collar piece is stuck inside the grip section. All attempts to unscrew the collar/feed just results in the feed spinning freely or pulling out of the collar. I can’t disassemble the pen in order to clean the feed assembly properly (or replace it). I think more aggressive measures would just damage the pen overall. I spent enough on this

I received the fountain pen in excellent condition. My only issue was the ink cartridge installation inside the pen itself. When I opened the pen to check the internal part, ink was all over my hand and shirt. The open ink cartridge was in a reversed position, so the ink spilled inside the pen trunk.
