With this Mini Converter Sport from Kaweco, you can suck up ink like in a syringe. Then the converter is inserted into the fountain pen. Drawing up several times increases the filling quantity.

I recently came in to possession of a 1980’s Shaefer Student fountain pen. Internet research told me that new cartridges for Shaefer Student pens just can’t be had. I don’t like cartridges anyway, so I looked for a converter. It seems you can’t get a Shaefer converter to fit the pen, either. But more research led me to buy this converter for the pen. This converter works fine. It is a very tight fit onto the feed. Scary tight, but it fit. There’s plenty of room in the barrel. The capacity (the converter’s length) could be a little greater, but then it wasn’t made to be used the way I’m using it.One more point, a general one: This converter uses a simple plunger; it’s basically just a syringe. It works great.

It works fine, but if you’re like me and new to Kaweco and got this to avoid the hassle of getting the kaweco cartridges for the Kaweco Sport let me reassure you, any.. Any standard ink cartridge will work just find in the Sport. This thing is already half the size of most converts and with the plunger style that it is, after aspirating to get out the air bubbles, you are left with a half the chamber of ink, in a converter that’s already half the size of standard twist drawn convertor.

Works as advertised, but people concerned about ink capacity should stick to refilling used cartridges with a syringe.

I love my Kaweco brass pen. I really do. But this converter is its Achilles’ heel. No matter how carefully you push it in. No matter whether you give it a good twist. You can’t be sure that it will stay in, especially if you walk around with the pen in your pants pocket, which is the point of a pocket pen.

Works as expected.I had submitted an earlier review which said this converter did not fit, but it just goes onto the feed very, very, firmly! It does fit and work fine.

It’s not as though the items were special or that we shouldn’t receive fast service but this is less and less usual. Thank you!!

The converters volume is a little small but it’s the best you can do since the kaweco sport is a small pen

Use it as a converter to ink my Kaweco sport fountain pen

This is your goto. It works adequately well but I find that it does not pull up ink all that well. It works O.K. I just wish it worked better.

Great little piston I prefer to use my own ink from a bottle. I feel like it is more true to the art and beauty of using a fountain pen instead of those cheap feeling plastic cartridges, they somehow seem sacreligious. I use it in my everyday fountain pen and very satisfied with this little guy.
