Tools required:Shortie Philips screwdriver or ratchet screwdriver to remove two screws securing latch from inside of glove box.Small flat edged screwdriverTime required: 3 minutes or less if you know what you are doing. After removing the latch from the glove box, you push the lock cylinder forward from the back of the latch assembly. In order to do that, you need to gently push 4 plastic retaining tabs out of the way from around the metal lock cylinder using the small flat screwdriver. While pressing the lock cylinder forward, press the tab at the 6:00 position out of the way. Do the same thing for the tabs at the 3:00 and 9:00 positions. The tab at the 12:00 position can’t be reached by the screwdriver easily, but with the other 3 tabs released, the cylinder is easily wiggled forward out from under the 12:00 tab.Press the latch cylinder into the front of the new latch assembly , keeping the locking tab on the back of the latch oriented in the same position as it

The part fits but doesn’t open as smoothly as the OEM part did. Have to open the latch by grabbing right at the lock. If I could give it a 4.75, I would.

Works as intended. Only thing that was a bit annoying is it looked like I ordered the tan latch but I got the grey one instead. But that’s a easy fix if you still have your old latch (which you should if you want to keep the same lock) just pop off the tan latch and replace it with the grey one. Just be careful not to snap any of the nipples off. And then you just have to put your old lock in the new latch and screw the latch onto the glove box and it works like new.

It matched perfectly and worked perfectly. A little harder to open latch but I like that part.

We got like a gray color, (my car piece is brown) what we did it was to take the black part from behind and installed on my old one and stayed with the original color of my car, we tossed away the gray one that came on the mail, the important part of this, was the latch, thank God we were able to take it apart and replaced it on the original from my car. I looks like nothing happened…

easy to install I like it

Very easy installation. Make sure you apply silicone grease to the strike bar of the lock mechanism to prevent the lock from seizing up.

  8. Zel B (verified owner)

Disappointed this did not include a lock. Lever only. Be aware.

  9. Jonie Kerley (verified owner)

    Great match in color

Install was easy, but isn’t true to color in the picture. It’s more of a Grey than Tan.
