As an avid outdoor sportsman it was clear to Mark that Kylie, his Norfolk Terrier, wouldn’t wear a collar. The tension from the leash around the neck can have fatal consequences for a dog. So, he sat down and developed a dog harness, which would distribute the tension in the best way possible. The vest harness evolved step-by-step in a “3D Comfort Fit”, which is suitable for any dog from a Chihuahua to a French Bulldog.

The product itself is great. I buy 2 of them every year for my mother’s dogs. I purchased a red one from another dealer and it was perfect. This one (orange) looked like it may have been used. The “Curli” logo on the top was dirty, the plastic clasp looked worn and the package it came in was already open, and the cardboard price that is also part of the original packaging also looked like it was NOT new. My assumption was it was a return. Very poor way to do business.

This is a very nicely made harness which gives the dog plenty of room to move without chafing. The material is relatively rugged and stiff and the clasp is a simple thumb clip type. The two buckles create a safety catch by ensuring the sides are held together.There are a couple of negatives. One, the Velcro patch is not very big. While you might get an inch or two of adjustment, you’d be on the edge of the Velcro patch making the security of the harness a concern if unmonitored. Two, there are no sizes provided, and other similar harnesses which do list the sizes list them incorrectly. Our 3.5lb Morkie did not properly fit the 2XS. She has a 10.5″ chest and a 6.5″ neck. We ordered this harness to help protect our 5lb yorkie’s throat. He has a collapsing trachea and we wanted a soft harness than didn’t require us to pull his head through the harness to put it on and off. This is a step-in style harness that appears to be very good quality. The design is great and has a Velcro closure that is reinforced by a clasp button and two loops that connect to your leash. I knocked 1 star off my rating because the sizing could be better. The size charts provided on Amazon and the manufacturer’s website don’t match the size chart on the tag that came on the harness. Even still, sizing was an issue. I bought the extra small but it was too large, leaving over an inch of loose space around the neck and around the chest. I thought it might still work but it was too loose to be safe because my yorkie could slip out of it. I went down a size and ordered the 2x small but it’s really snug and almost too small. The 2x small cuts a little too close under my yorkie’s legs or “armpits.” I haven’t noticed any irritation and it doesn’t seem to bother him so I decided to keep the smaller size. I also wish there was more than two little pieces of reflective stitching on the harness. Still a very solid purchase.

I have now bought five of these harnesses for my puppy, and I feel like they are the best fitting harness and the most stylish. Really love the Plush corduroy ones and wish they would make more of those (and expand color selection). My puppy did chew through one or two of them on the edges, but she is just puppying, and I do feel this product is better made than Puppia or other similar brands that I have tried. My shih poo is about 13lbs and a size S fits her well. Only negative is I would prefer it they didn’t put their label right on the ‘chest’ area of the harness. Maybe in the future Curli will give customers an option to personalize this area of the harness. I would pay $5-$7 extra to have that area be my dog’s name, instead of a brand name.

The .most important thing is the dogs comfort, both of our dogs like them. I like them because I can feel secure that they are truly in these harnesses. First they are velcroed in, then snapped in above the velcro and on top of that the leash hooks into two little metal rings above the snap. It sounds like a lot but goes quickly when getting the harness on. It is a step in harness. When the dogs hear the velcro I put it on the floor and they go straight to it to step in.Comfort and security, can’t beat that.This product is highly recommended.

This was very small and skimpy in spite of the fact that I measured my dog, and ordered from their charts. For 28.99 it is worth 4.99…..I am in Ecuador so my shipment had to go first to a courier on Miami, and by the time it got here the return window passed. Besides being small it has cheap plastic fasteners and is junk, If I could give negative stars I would. I want to return this in the package. I am filing a complaint with Amazon. The harness I ordered from another company Five Woody is the same size , Medium, as this one…yet it fits perfectly and lists the same measurements. I think someone on China can not count measurements. This is definitely small …and fits a dog that is much smaller than medium size.

very high quality harness! I ordered the size 3XS for my toy chihuahua, whom I added a photo with my hand for reference to her size. She is very small, but not as tiny as some other toy Chihuahuas. The size 3XS says it’s meant for Chihuahuas, so I was sure it would fit her. BUT it was about an inch too small, I couldn’t even close it around her. So I returned it, and ordered the next size up, 2XS, which says it’s meant for Yorkshire terriers. Not sure how large they are, but it fits my dog perfectly!That being said, the harness is a bit of a weird fit at first. It was just built differently than most harnesses you see. Something about the way it goes around her legs makes me thinks it’s uncomfortable, but after the first few minutes of having it on, she was happy and ready to walk! Have walked her a few times now and doesn’t seem to bother her. It’s very high quality, and clasps twice, once with Velcro and then second with a latch.It may not be the best idea For bigger dogs, or really strong dogs who try their hardest to get away; because I can imagine the Velcro coming undone and the clasp not being strong enough. But, I digress, as it’s such a thick harness and the Velcro is great quality, I doubt it would ever break from a dog pulling it. MAYBE after over 10 years.ALSO it has an identification code for if your dog ever gets lost!! I hadn’t noticed this when buying. So if you are someone who doesn’t like putting collars on them or your dog doesn’t like collars, this harness is great for when you leave the house. You don’t have to worry about them not having identification tags (although I would recommend)

My hard-headed Yorkie loves to “bolt”. She has been able to break through several other harnesses. This one has 3 fasteners: Velcro, snap, and then a double hook for the leash. I always use a harness because Yorkies inherently have trachea issues and shouldn’t use a traditional collar. This is the best harness I’ve ever found. It’s very sturdy. I gave 5 stars for comfort because my pup has never complained about wearing it. She didn’t actually tell me that it’s comfortable.Edited to add: Be aware that this harness will stretch over time. Hard-headed Yorkie was able to pull out of hers a couple of times. I switched her to a new one (same brand) and it fits more snugly. I also ordered one in the next size down. It’s a little too snug right now, but I’ve been letting her wear it once a day so that it will stretch out and then be perfect. I didn’t realize that I actually had the same harness in a smaller size that was for a smaller dog (that, sadly, is no longer with me). It had stretched out enough to be just the right size.One other positive note for this harness: It’s very easy to put on and take off. Doesn’t have to go over the dog’s head.

I have a 13 lb chihuahua and bought the S(mall). It’s the perfect size for him. I love that it is velcro closing, and so lightweight. The fact that there are no metal fasteners or buckles touching him, makes it far more comfortable to wear and it doesn’t shift around while he is walking like his previous halter did. My only “potential” concern is that it looks like the double hooks for the leash might be plastic instead of metal. It’s hard to tell touching them and looking at them what material they are made of. Otherwise, a huge win.

This would have been a nice harness if it hadn’t been for the clasp. It’s cheap and it broke after just a few months of use. The rest of the harness I liked, but unfortunately now I have to buy a new one. I would not recommend this one because of the problem with the cheap plastic clasp. I got an XXS and my little girl is only 5 pounds and not hard on things, so this is entirely a manufacturing flaw.
