I use this tire primarily for the road and have approximately 1000 miles on it. It is the first tubeless I have owned and is mounted on a tubeless ready Bontrager wheelset. I have used it on a gravel surface on about 100 miles of the Cowboy Trail in northern Nebraska with good results. Biking with others on the same trail with tubes resulted in the average of at least one flat for most of the group and none for me.Physical wear on sharp rocks appears good but an average day of riding will generate about 10 psi loss. After a week of no riding is about 20 psi loss. I am not sure if the psi loss is the fault of the tire or wheelset or perhaps needs more sealant once seated but I will continue to monitor this. I run the tires at 80 psi and the max rating on the tire is 87. A good tire and one that I would recommend.

32mm x 700c Tubeless version.Took two special plier like bead pullers to finally mount the tire on a 3T Discus C35 Team Stealth rim. No way there will be a roadside conversion to tubed after a flat. Only hope to get home will be a plug, if tire gets gashed will be a long walk. These are much harder to mount than Schwalbe Pro One Tubeless Road 700c x 30mm tires. To find the tools I used search for: BIKEHAND Bike Bicycle Tire Lever Cycling Repair Tool Spoon – Install Difficult Wire Bead and Stubborn Tires – Tire Bead Jack Changing Mounting Seating Tools

Great durable tires, no flats or other issues so far. Hard to get on though, I needed a tire lever to get there first side on even and getting the last little bit took two levers and a lot of force. Once on they went up fine with a compressed air blast and they hold air perfectly.

I have the 32 mm tubeless version. These baby’s roll fast and comfy. 2k miles and I can still slightly see the rear depth gauge dimples. Never flatted on a ride. Had maybe 4-5 sealant sprays but they closed up and I kept riding. Awesome feeling!Edit: so lately I’ve been adventuring out on gravel dirt roads. I think the rubber is too weak to hold up to constant rocks and debris. Tires were great at 2k miles on the road (check the first pic). I put about 4-500 miles on gravel and then the rubber casing is coming apart. These are road tires don’t take them on gravel roads too much.

I have only been running the tires for couple of weeks now and I love the ride! I converted my Weinmann Aquila 21 rims on my KHS (a local Los Angeles bike company) Grit 220 to tubeless ready, it was nail biting but I did it! I highly recommend getting actually tubeless rim tape (I use DT Swiss) and the MilKit valves (which are self sealing if you need to remove the valve core). Getting Grand Prix on the rim was intense, it’s a SUPER tight fit but this tight clincher tire combined with good rim tape and the right valves made converting to tubeless trouble free! The ride is super smooth, I run them at 45 & 50 PSI, front and rear respectively, so the ride is smooth yet responsive. I usually ride it on paved bike paths (it’s a fast tire on pavement, and I like going fast) though I have gone off road on to gravel several times and the tire continued to have good grip and response. There were questions raised about the accuracy of the size. I bought 700x 32c and when I measured the width of the tire with digital calipers it was 31.5 mm so .5 mm less than expected. That said, the top PSI for this tire is 87, being that I am running the tires at 40 & 45 psi, that’s only half the max pressure so that could account for the .5 mm lose.I will post a new review in a few months to properly rate the durability and longevity as well as how it responds to punctures, being tubeless (using Mariposa’s Caffélatex sealant w/ground pepper added). For the first time I am actually looking forward to a puncture! 😉

Extremely grippy and comfortable while maintaining speed. Got the 32s and will never go back. They measure very true to size. Got a huge sidewall slash on first ride but I hit a big chunk of concrete. But was able to seal it up with a patch.

Edit 2. Oct 22: 2500 total miles and no change. Still a visible wobble on both tires. I’m a big guy so wear was noticeable, but no more than expected at this mileage and nothing particularly attributed to the wobble. Plenty of miles left on the tires, but they are were replaced with tires that roll straight. I can’t imagine getting two tires with the same QC issue as initially reviewed. Good news was no flats and they weren’t to difficult to remove. I wish these had lived up to the GP4000s lineage.Edit 1 Jan 22: 1500 more miles and still exhibits the visible wobble. Doubt I’ll replace them again after loving the GP4000 for many years. Schwalbe Pro One tubeless will be the replacements.GP5000 TL 700X32. Continental GPs 4000s have been my go-to tires for years. I had no doubt it would be the same when I went to the 5000. I’ve lost count of how many tubeless tires I’ve setup. By far the worst tire to set up tubeless. Both tires don’t spin true on completely straight

By far the worst install. And I have tubeless on all my other bikes. Why does it have to be almost impossible for a home mechanic to put on a tire! The ride is fine, no complaints. But I have already had a flat after 2 months of riding. And each tire has small nicks so I’m not expecting great longevity. I’m not complaining about the flat, but tire makers who call out their tech for fewer flats should just stop. Our roads have too much crap for any claims to be true. And tubeless does not mean you can ride without a spare tube.

Rode on a 50/50 gravel-tarmac course. Dry to begin with and rainy at the end. 32c tubeless at 55/60 psi. Fast, never a hiccup, handled fine through small rock gravel, hardpack dirt, rough pavement. Amazing. Tempted to keep them on for any gravel ride I feel like going fast…

About 6 months ago I swapped out my Continental 4 seasons on my gravel bike for the GP 5000 tubeless. My hopes were for a bit better ride on the road, and similar puncture resistance due to tires being set up tubeless with sealant. The results have exceeded my expectations. The ride is great, it looks like I will get close to 3000 miles on the back tire, and so far no roadside tire repairs. They were a tight fit on Stan’s Grails but went on ok with soapy water. Will be purchasing again.
