I love fountain pens, write by hand before I go to a word processor, and for the past two years have been purchasing and breaking all sorts of pens! Parker, Pilot, Scribe, and Dryden just to name a few. Some of those were my own tendency to press fairly hard while I write, but it’s worth noting that I never bought the others again due to the price I’d paid. This pen is fantastic! Very comfortable, and for beginner’s like me.If your having problems like losing parts, ink mess, broken ink reloads, broken nib parts while writing, this pen has the benefit of easy replacement parts and so far no breaks or loss for myself which feels great! I’d almost given up on my love for fountain pens. It’s back.

Have been looking a long time for a reasonably priced, stylish daily FP. Have had Lamy’s before and knew their quality. Sadly, despite the pen being very chic, its not for me. They keyed head forces my fingers into an unnatural (for me) handing. Too bad ’cause I really like it.

As a left handed person, I have always had trouble with smearing of both pencil and ink. After a little bit of searching and researching, I watched a few YouTube videos dealing with the lefty smear. In one video the gentleman was showing the LAMY Safari fountain pen. It’s used in some countries to help elementary school age children learn to use a pen. It has features that have helped to adjust my writing style and eliminate a lot of my lefty smear. The pen seems to be very sturdy and well made. To me, it’s the perfect pen to learn with. Worth every penny.

I am happy to say that this pen is the real deal. I have other Lamys, I know how to spot fakes, and I can confirm that the product that I received is the genuine article! The writing is smooth and a standard Lamy converter also purchased over Amazon works perfectly. Of all the other Lamys on Amazon with reviews questioning the authenticity of the pen, I am confident in recommending this particular one as being legitimate. The only con would be that while the plastic is strong and durable, it is still a plastic bodied pen.

This is my first fountain pen.. I am certainly not an expert, but it writes well, no skipping, ink flow is good and there is a nice little Skitch-scratch on the paper as I write.. not too much of one.Comes with converter and disposable ink cartridge. The one I received was missing the convertor, I contacted the seller who replied right away and sent one out very quickly. Very happy with the pen and the seller.

I love this pen. The balance, weight, and grip are just right. It’s easy to hold, regardless of your experience level. I generally use my dip pens with bottled inks, but wanted an easier way to take my journal with me. I recommend this seller. I ran into a snag with my order, and they’ve been quick to resolve it. This is an excellent fountain pen. I wouldn’t recommend if its your first. The pressure I use to write with produces to most satisfying scratching sound on the paper. I’ve used it on notebook, paper, copy paper, and construction paper. The ink flow is consistent on all surfaces tried so far. It has a grip that forces it to rest in your hand at the perfect position to maintain the nib at the proper writing angle.Seemed a little flimsy when I opened the package. Do not be discouraged, it is only a spacer to keep the ink from being penetrated during transit. Remove that and it fits perfectly together for a solid writing pen.
