Had this for a week so far- originally as a test replacement for what I thought was a failing Scarlett 2i2 ( I suspect it actually is ) but decided to keep it as it is an audio upgrade, at least. The good: sound is excellent. Control software is reasonably flexible ( there’s a lot of routing options ). Seems well built.Less good: the layout is not something I’m enjoying; having the XLR inputs on the opposite side of the box to the headphone jack is making using my headset ( my primary use ) a little awkward, and having the controls on top is also awkward for my work area – I’d take one with front jacks & controls in a heartbeat. I haven’t yet found a way to monitor a source directly from the box itself but that could just be me not having found the right option. The sample rate for SPDIF in doesn’t seem to want to hold it’s setting. The product could be better documented! It doesn’t come with a USB A->C cable, so if you want to jack it in the back of a PC or a smaller device that doesn’t have a USB-C port then make sure you get one.My 2i2 was gen 2 so probably not a fair comparison ( especially given the price ) so I’m not really experienced with the competition ( a friend tried a Motu M2 & found the monitoring options much better suited to his studio – I spend most of my time talking so I’m less concerned ) but I have no regrets so far.

Works as intended and the sound is astounding. I upgraded from a first gen Focusrite 18i8 which was still going string, but the differences in preamps and headphone amplifiers is night and day (and the Focusrite wasn’t particularly shabby, but 5+ years of improvements really show). Latency isn’t RME level but it’s half of that of my old interface in every configuration. Very stable so far. The volume control takes some learning but after 30 minutes you’re there. The preamps can’t be pushed and don’t add any noticeable noise (but can amplify any background or line noise, if present.Highly recommended.

I did loads of research and looked at all main players in this field, and finaly decided to take the plunge.I was concerned with buggy downloads bad latency and fear of turning creative projects into digital fustrations…I didnt experience any if that. This makes everything fall into place. Its intuitive .for me so far doing everything i need very simply and very well. Its quiet great quality and helps set up an easy flow for enjoyable creation. Its well made .i was a bitworried about its desktop layout but its not too bad once your used to it.i havent used scrollwheel function and having an adat connection allows more inputs and more flexability.Coupled with good support in this price range its recomended. sound quality is pleasing.Im using a mac and with just a wee niggle installing firmware was remedied quickly.Best interface for the money

Solid build construction, great sound, nice software. For the money it can’t be beat! Used with PC and Windows 10.

The clarity is fantastic, I use this to record guitar. I just wish there was an easier way to monitor the peaking.Coming from the Scarlett 2i2, where the color is shown around the knobs, green, orange, and red, it’s hard to find that sweet spot of getting good tone and not over doing it even in the slightest.Overall it’s great and I would recommend it to pretty much anyone who records DI at home.

Bought it to replace my focusrite and to tidy up my desk. It’s of solid build. It took a little getting used to, and honestly, I’m not sure I completely understand it, but it runs its own software program that acts like a middleman between the computer and the DAW???? I don’t know. It just works. But I’m still trying to figure out the software. But as far as sound… it’s suuuper clean. I just wish there was a way to turn it off. Instead, the lights on it just stay on until you unplug it.

When I say this is the hands down best mixer that I have ever used I freaking mean it. Absolutely no added noise good inputs for home studio, massive amount of control on audio output and a clean sleek design that feels good to use. I have used many mixers and I think this is the one I will start recommending.

    Best interface for the money.

  9. Max Herman (verified owner)

I’ve used quite a lot of different interfaces over the years, a few digital, and most analog. I finally went back to digital interfaces and WOW! I have been blown away. I’ve been using this now for about a year and it just works. No scratchy POTS, and no buggy software and the audio loopback functionality is worth it’s weight in gold 10 times over. If you are thinking about this, just get it. Don’t even think. I found my perfect interface, and I hope this review may convince you as well. I don’t write reviews often, but this one made me write one, and so much so that I am now even considering getting the ID44 MKII for my editing rig as my current Antelope Audio interface is so hard and cumbersome to use. I just want something that works and sounds great. Audient has delivered on this front from both a hardware and software aspect.

The thing was really full of dust. Otherwise, works fine
