I got the real deal on multiple orders here over the years. Curious see photos from those who are saying they that they got ones that appear not authentic or rusty. Dealers do mark new authentic parts with paint, and this one is sort of a rust colored speckly circle that could sort of look like very light surface rust (though it’s over the black paint). All the times I’ve ordered, I got a totally correct match to the one my own Audi dealer installed.Be sure to note that this comes as a two-part assembly – you can remove the outer-threaded part. When taking the old one out of car, that part may inadvertently stay in the housing on car, so it will seem like new filter does not match old one, but it does. I guess some cars need an inner-threaded filter, so you’d remove that adapter. On my 2.0 TSI, it does need this adapter piece, and I’ve sometimes had to use a wrench on that section to get it out of the car.

What more can I say. Bought it to replace the previous oil filter in my Audi after an oil change. Fits and works as intended, I’ve had it for the full duration of the specified miles b4 I need my new oil change in a thousand miles or so as suggested by the cars manufacturer recommended oil change intervals.

I’ve been changing my own oil all my life and it’s usually the filter that’s the most unpleasant part. The gasket system works super well!
