Description
Premium L-key set made of stainless steel for imperial hexagonal socket screws by Wera. Stainless steel prevents transmission of extraneous rust. The Hex-Plus profile offers larger contact surfaces in the screw head. The notch effect is reduced to a minimum and the destruction of the screw head is almost eliminated. With hexagonal ball tip at the long arm: The ball-shaped tip profiles enable the tool shaft to be moved and pivoted relative to the screw axis which allows screwdriving “around the corner”. I have several of of these coloured Wera hex sets in different versions. The coloured bands just make things a lot quicker.This one in stainless steel is excellent quality and good for me because my tools get exposed to a lot of water and contaminants.Specifically I work with fuel – and as soon as that stuff (looking at you Diesel) gets under those coloured plastic grips, they slide right off. Especially when inserting and removing from the rubber holder.Without the grip, the round stainless steel becomes slippery and annoying.In stainless steel though, this is the best you can buy.

Immediately upon opening the package and feeling the heft of these Allens, I knew the choice I made was the right one. Only thing that could make it better would be to include the missing 64ths that the other stainless imperial set without the sleeves has (I bought that one too, mostly for the pouch, but was pleased to find that it has a couple extras that are always handy to have around). Having said this, I don’t rate them any lower as I surmise this omission of sizes was very well thought out. But seriously, if you’re thinking quality Allens these ones are it, guy. Any of the Wera Allens will exceed expectations.

I built an aluminum boat with hundreds of Allen head fasteners. I’ve bought every style on the market, and these are absolutely the best! The angled tip makes the much more versatile and “forgiving” to use. Highly recommend. A lil expensive, and worth twice as much.

I dislike the fact that 2 of them broke , just by hand tightening a set screw just past my window to return, that’s a lot of money for Allen wrenches.

These have never failed me. Never stripped a bolt. Always fit tight when others slipped. These will get the job done in demanding situations where more inferior wrenches will fail. Will work at very steep angles.

Got tired of twisting wrenches, especially smaller sizes, or having the corners round off and the wrench is garbage. NOT WITH THESE!!! ? Word of mouth had me try these, and I’m hooked. Even on smaller sizes, there’s no twisting, and the wrench feels strong and secure. Coworkers have tried them and then immediately bought them cause they are that amazing. A little pricey, but you won’t have to buy 3 sets over 3 years because the others round out. Don’t think twice, just get them. You won’t be sorry!
