I have many types of writing tools in my shop. I purchased this along with different colored refills. Felt like I was splurging and maybe eating money. But then I just put it on the work bench and started using it. Unlike classic number 2, the lead seems softer and just marks on anything, often just a thumb swipe clean. I used yellow on darker metal, red on some shelf assembly, and back to black. The built in sharpener took a little to get good at. I adjusted it ever so slightly (but you can do that). Yup! This is a really good pencil. My buddy bought a cheaper clone version and thought it was crap. It was not good. The lead in the clone was very hard and brittle. This pencil is the one they all try to copy. It’s like the old saying. People do not complain when they buy the best. I say, buy this along with the colored refills and you should be good to go for about 10 years.

Love this pencil! Comfortable in the hand and always has a sharp tip for precise markings. The built in sharpener on the tip works great too. Would highly recommend and will definetly buy again!

  3. Pablo Lugones (verified owner)

These pencils leave very clear marks on the work surface, be it wood or metal. The only draw back I found is that you have to sharpen then continuosly of you need a very thin precise line

I keep this on my hip basically every day. It marks well and when it’s dull you can sharpen it on the spot. It has never fallen out of its holder when im on my back. That’s really all there is to this thing. It would be nice to have an extra lead compartment somehow, but its good.

I carry this everyday and no longer use old school carpenter pencils.

I LOVE my Pica, you will as well. The color refills are the way to go, you can write on anything with this bad boy. A little Expensive for a pencil but if you don’t lose your car keys very often then you should be just fine. I dropped 10 stories down an elevator shaft the first week I had mine, the lead exploded but the Pica was just fine, dope.

This pencil is a GREAT replacement to the #2 pencils I’ve been using. The only issue I found was that the initial lead that is comes with is too soft for me. I purchased the harder lead and that solved the only issue I found with this pencil! Wish I’d have found this years ago.

My coworker had one of these. He said the lead never breaks so I had to try it. This is a must , I work in Construction , the lead is durable , doesn’t break and has a sharpener on the end.
