OMG! this is thing is AWESOME. I’m not the kind of guy that goes for all caps lightly, but this is not just a wire stripper. this is THE wire stripper. I know, wire wrap is so mid-twentieth century and all, but this tool just transforms the workflow from a fiddly nightmare of fumbling to a smooth, simple measure, cut, strip, wrap. the Knipex stuff is not cheap, and I’ve got a set of flush cutters from them too, and the feel of these against much cheaper tools is like day and night. these are instruments. this is a wire stripper you want to pass on to your son or daughter in your will.

The small size of the tool reflects the thin wires it is intended for, a task that it executes with the excellence that one has come to expect from German tools. There should be sufficient space for it in every toolbag and box or trouser pocket, and the fact that adjustment settings are kept allows for the quicker execution of certain repetitive routine tasks than what would be possible with pliers or knives. Especially in the case of thin wires, where «just a little too much» can often lead to an unfortunate «oops» moment …Quite handy and recommended.

This tool is expensive. I have used it now for months. I would buy it again in a second. It easily strips jacket off the finest wires. It is easy to set and gives a perfect wire strip every time.
