This has a European plug. You don’t find this out until you get the product because it doesn’t say it anywhere on the box or Amazon listing!

I specifically purchased this flat iron because I was searching for a type c plug that I could use abroad. I was sooo disappointed when I unpacked this the night before my trip and saw a U.S. style plug.The box uses Celsius (not Fahrenheit) but why?! What’s the point? It’s feels like false advertising. I purchased this because I learned the hard way that using a US straightener in a EU or South American plug will fry the appliance (and YES, I was using an adapter and converter) even if the straightener says it works dual voltage and can handle up to 220V.Also- the box says that it works worldwide with voltage up to 240V. LIES. Check out the photos, the plug is clearly US and it specifically says it’s for 125V. This puppy is going to fry if I plug it into 220/240Volts. Ugh. Total waste of $79So, I guess if you want a straightener that is packaged like it’s sold in the EU, but with an inexplicable US plug- go ahead and buy this mediocre hair straightener.
