I am impressed.I am a blade fanatic, having used several types of blades daily for well over 3 decades. So, when those around me hear me say that about some type of bladed tool, they usually perk up and pay attention. My posts on my old Amazon account, particularly the knife reviews and knife sharpening tools, drew quite a bit of attention, although it’s been a couple of years since I posted reviews there. ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AGHZK3B6CTD7K36646BENTATZGQA )My favored factory knife companies are usually Buck, Benchmade, Ontario, and likely now Morakniv, if future knives I’ll purchase from them hold the same quality as this one. The Morakniv Companion I received will likely replace my Benchmade Barrage folder as my EDC for the foreseeable future as I continue to evaluate it.This is absolutely a 5 star knife. I had some QC concerns when I first received this item, but I’ll get to that later…and those concerns proved moot once I

English: I’m already in love with this knife. Right out of the box it is very sharp. Many reviews I have seen don’t seem to like the sheath, in fact, one reviewer said that his knife came out of sheath whilst hiking. Interestingly I seem to have the complete opposite! I clip my knife in and it is very hard to get out. I have to hold the sheath with one hand and pull it with the other. But I like a knife that doesn’t come out of it’s sheath easily. I also noticed that one reviewer didn’t like the handle and said it was “cheap” … But to me, that’s what I love about this knife! The rubber handle has a VERY nice grip to it! I just love it! FYI, make sure you get stainless steel and not carbon because if you’re not careful carbon steel will rust easily. Stainless steel can and will rust if you do not take proper care of it, however, it is much harder to rust. Another thing I like about this knife is that you can use and abuse without having to worry ‘cuz it’s literally 20$! Overall, it is a very nice knife and if I find any problems I will update this review, peace out.

This knife is flawless. It is extremely sharp right out of the package! I was able to shave part of my face smooth with this knife to test its sharpness. I can honestly say that it is literally, razor sharp. The handle is nice enough, but a very simple plastic. The sheath is relatively cheap plastic as well. It’s clear the manufacturer was trying to provide an extremely high quality blade for a very good price. So i imagine they cut costs on the things that don’t really matter much and passed the savings on to their customers. I have another knife I use when I go outdoors. I love it! But it cost me 3x as much, and it’s not as sharp. The point is, this knife is superior to an already superior knife. If you can go without a fancy handle or leather sheath, this is the best option I’ve come across, by far!

Mora companion knifes, are fantastic knives , when it comes to working in wood! And they are very sharp right out of the box! The easy one bevel sharpening is fantastic. Just lay it on the bevel and sharpen or strop it. The sheeth fits on the pants easily, and comes off easily! all in all, I see no negatives to this knife! It is superb when working with wood! This knife is worth much more than the money!

This Swedish made knife has a thicker blade than I had thought as I am not metric inclined but I am more than pleased with the whole package. I bought it for the kitchen but if you go camping strap it on and you will be well equipped. If you are tired of Chinese junk try Swedish quality. We have all heard the term razor sharp..well this knife IS razor sharp..be warned!

I just got mine and it was very sharp right from the factory. I carved a billy club out of a black cherry branch in about an hour. I was so impressed I ordered another one with high visibility color. I’m afraid I’ll break it someday – but at the price, so what? I can shave with this damn thing.

12 whole chickens to process (cut up, de-bone ect)Knife cuts like it’s butter compared to my expensive kitchen knives. Stayed sharp, kept edge. Liked so much I bought a second to keep in the hunting/camping gear, since this one is now my kitchen go-to!. Will consider purchasing more for gifts

Usually, I have to sharpen knives once I get them, but definitely don’t need to with this one. It is nearly razor blade sharp. The handle is comfortable and all around looks and feels quality made. I don’t think you can go wrong with this one.

Had no idea about these knives but my brother in law recommended them. He’s a tad bit obsessed with foraging for fat wood and uses this as his EDC. Because the knife is so cheap he is not gentle with it and I was surprised at how well it holds an edge. He sharpened the spine too for shaving down wood and that seems to also work perfectly. I guess this is a big one in the bushcrafting community – and rightfully so. I’m a “knife guy” so I was pretty impressed at how well it was made and held up. Yes, it looks like a tactical kitchen knife, but it is absolutely worth keeping in your inventory/collection. Great every day beater knife, and nice that it’s not MIC/MIT.

You can’t go wrong getting this knife. It made easy work of feathering sticks…slid through like butter. It is study enough to use to cut through larger logs by hitting the back of the knife with a stick or hammer. I can’t wait to bring this knife camping; so far it has lived up to the internet’s hype!
