Steel Rail Padding

DNAx:

Soft to the touch, this lightweight polyurethane padding is a great option for anyone experiencing sore contact points on their saddle. Ideal for rides of shorter duration.

Cromoly Rail Padding

HLX + Gel PADDING:

30% more shock absorbent than polyurethane, HLX padding is plusher than our DNA padding. It’s a great option for those of you who prioritize squishiness over weight savings. Wish your memory foam mattress topper could be transformed into a saddle? Look no further than our HLX padding.

Gel inserts provide additional support to prevent the pinching of soft tissues while also cradling the sit bones in a comfortable position on the saddle.

Titanium Rail Padding

DNA PADDING:

Superlight polyurethane provides a dense padding that dramatically reduces saddle weight and provides our ultimate level of support. DNA padding holds its shape incredibly well over long rides as well as throughout the lifetime of the saddle, providing unbeatable comfort on long rides and durability in the years to come.

I own 4 mountain bikes, 1 road bike and 1 adult BMX bike. The WTB saddles are all I use. They look great. The material used and the design of the WTB saddles make for a comfortable ride, and they can take a beating. Be sure to measure your “sit bones” to get the correct recommended seat width.Find a thick piece of cardboard and sit on it so your sit bones make impressions on the cardboard (you might have to bounce a bit to make impressions). If you can manage it, draw your knees close to your chest to put more weight on your backside. With pencil or pen, draw circles following the outer edge of the impressions and put a dot in the center of each circle. Measure the distance between the dots in millimeters (or in inches and google the inches to millimeter conversion). Add 15 millimeters to your measurement and you have your recommended seat width. If the available seat size is a few millimeters off, you should still be fine. My seat bone measurement is 127mm. I order 142mm to 145mm seats every time and they are always on point. You can’t go wrong with the WTB saddle. Great price, quality product and many different models to give your bike the look you’re after.

Not quite pure road or pure trial, the Rocket strikes a balance making it work for either, and went on one of mtn bikes that has spare wheels/skinny tires to double as a gravel bike. Saddles are very personal, for me WTB has been a go to for many of my bikes, none have I regretted. Their partricular style of seat which includes a nice channel, a bit of a down curve rising up and out to the back just works for me. This Rocket is a bit higher end, Titanium rails, a bit less padding that other WTB’s but not harsh. It just fit me right away, and I didn’t want to get off my “gravel” bike while enjoying mid 60’s temps today. Beautifully made and finished, a serious seat, but not a particularly harsh one, those ti rails seem to work. At $99 not cheap but not super pricey either.

Was a bit concerned that the added padding would cause chafing, but definitely not the case. Right amount of cushion without adding much extra bulk at all. Several longer rides down (35+ miles) and definitely a nice amount of cushion with zero hot spots. Previous saddle was like riding a 2 x 4–this one’s vastly improved. Same price on Amazon as at the other bike parts dealers. Definite winner to not have to think about my backside–may even be able to stop using butt’r….. I’m not a typical biker–5’10’, 250 pounds–and it works well for my larger carcass/legs/back side….

I’ve been riding with this saddle for about a month. It is very comfortable when used with my padded shorts. I bought this when I started mountain biking and thought my sit bones would hurt for a week or two as they got used to sitting on a bike seat. This saddle felt immediately comfortable. The shape of the tail really helps keep you in the seat, and make small adjustments with your sitting position depending on if you’re climbing or pedaling through flat sections. The seat looks great and seems durable. The size wide feels great at 6’2″, I don’t have ‘narrow’ hips bones.

This is the second time I have bought this seat ( 2 separate bikes). Comfortable and well made. I recommend!

  8. Mark (verified owner)

Good value and comfortable. I’m not very concerned about weight so didn’t go for the upgrade model, but I wish there was gel padding too.

  9. Tracey C. (verified owner)

My 300lb husband said this saddle is very comfortable, now he wants one for his other mountain bike.

After trying out this saddle, I really like it very much. It’s very comfortable for me with wide seat bone. I’d use to be 60kg thin and tall, but now I’m 90kg fat but taller. My seat bone changes dramatically with my on-gaining weight as time past, but I hope to getting back into shape via re-entering into the mtb cycling world as my past hobbies. Re-thinking about the past olden times that those BMX and MTB era where seat was much more classic and unbearable, nowadays you can hardly find anything like a WTB Rocket titanium rail grade saddle. Thumbs up for the design and also Amazon.com did pretty well getting the item shipped out systematically updating the availability as close as real-time inventory. I will definitely buy again from Amazon.com. Thank you.

for older guys who need a more confort saddle, this is not for you!! u need something more plush like the cloud 9, with suspension, for me i could barely ride for 30 minutos before my butt hurts

  13. Kalun Lau Gan (verified owner)

    very lightweight saddle, super confortable

  14. Juan Carlos Uribe (verified owner)

Creates a contact point between your ass and the bike and it feels like it helps push you along faster !!’

  15. John Deckmann (verified owner)

This saddle has a gently contoured seating surface, slightly firm paddling, and a little bit of flex in the body. I like it. Ive been using an older version on another mountain bike for years and many many miles.

The vinyl on the bottom started to peel up after a couple rides. I glued it and it is holding so far.

I have had this model on my mtn bike for the last 7 years or so and it is comfortable and durable (and I do a lot of riding!), so i put the same model on one of my road bikes when its seat gave up. It feels the same as the mtn bike saddle–I like consistency. The seat on my other road bike is ever so slightly more comfortable, though it was considerably more costly. So I give this saddle a thumbs up. Good trade between comfort, durability, and price.

Can’t go wrong with the price and comfort of the Rocket saddle. Very good quality!

  19. April Richmond (verified owner)

this is my go to saddle, prob is i snuck one on to my wifes bike and she mentioned her seat was comfy. just rite cush and firm, all day rides stays comfy.

  20. Orleans1971 (verified owner)

It feels fine for a budget minded saddle. While my sit bones fit just right width wise, the padding, though thick, is a tad firm. My butt definitely feels it during a ride. For reference, I don’t wear a chamois, just riding pants. Maybe with a chamois it’ll take the sting out. The nose also feels a bit short. When I get up onto the nose for climbing it’s not comfortable. Still at half the price of other brand name saddles, I’m overall happy.
