The rechargeable ACTIK CORE headlamp offers 450 lumens of power, which, along with its multi-beam design, makes it ideal for dynamic outdoor activities like mountaineering, running, hiking and backpacking. Red lighting preserves night vision and prevents members of a group from blinding each other. The reflective headband provides night visibility.
ACTIK CORE comes with the CORE rechargeable battery and is also compatible with three AAA/LR03 batteries (not included), thanks to the HYBRID CONCEPT design. Mounting accessories allow the lamp to be attached to any kind of helmet, or to a bicycle.

I like to run, and I like to run before work. Well, at 5:00am it’s pretty darn dark and I like to see where I’m going. This like is doing a great job keeping the road in front of my well lit. 450 lumens is the perfect amount of light for running on dark roads.I like that the light can rotate several degrees. It says put on the setting that I pick and I can point it out so I can see in the distance, or point it down so I can get a bright light directly in front of me. It’s comfortable on my head and has little to no bounce while running. It’s easy to select the 3 settings of brightness. I also like that it includes a red light, as I do some nighttime photography and having a red light is a necessity to preserve my night sight.What I am finding is that the brightest setting is the only one worth using while running. There are 3 levels of white light, and the first 2 are not bright enough to run with. However, they are good enough for using around the house in the

Got the Actik Core after losing my Tikka 2. Petzl is the way to go.Everything is amazing and as described.The only thing I wish was different, is a brighter red light for night vision. For me personally it is not enough brightness and I often need to switch to white light. I am curious if this is just me, or if others feel the red light could be brighter.

Three things about the power make this headlamp unique and exceptional …comes with a rechargeable battery … BUT it also allows use of alkaline batteries OR lithium batteries in place of the rechargeable battery – Your choice. Its perfect for any environment. I used this headlamp in the extreme cold at the 2022 Iditarod without any issues; great levels of brightness too

Good brightness even on the normal setting. Good battery Life and very convenient rechargeable battery. Very light and comfortable to wear. The first one I have used for 2 years during nightly trail runs and now I have got a second one as a backup.

PROs. Bright enough white light for most any nighttime task. I love that it comes with the rechargeable battery pack and can also take AAAs. Lightweight enough that it would be good for running without constantly coming out of place.CONs. I bought this because it claimed to be weatherproof/resistant; however, it most definitely is not. There is no rubber seal between the battery cover and the body of the lamp, just loose fitting hard plastic on plastic. A few drops of rain or brushing up against the dew of tree leaves will easily seep into the battery compartment and the guts of the headlamp and wreak havoc. Probably need to wear a hat over it if you think it might rain.Also, it just feels a little cheap. My last Petzl from about a decade ago was bulletproof. I could throw it in my bag and not worry about it breaking while stuffed in a loaded pack. This one I can tell will easily break with any sort of load on it.
