I have been using Ergon products ( handgrips) for many years. They are awesome. I have had hand injuries andthey enable me to ride my Mtn bikes without undo problems. I was curious about the saddles. It is the most comfortable saddle I have yet to own. I probably have about 40 miles on it.Just prior to receiving the saddle i took a nasty fall. I would not be riding at all without it right now.It is an amazing bit of engineering. I am very much looking forward to logging more miles with this saddle.I ride in an Urban/suburban environment with less than perfect road surfaces. It takes the “edge ” of the road quite well. Just bought the second one for my single speed, i took a brooks off….

I do a fair amount of desert and technical mountain riding. Desert trail rides can go as long as 4hrs. There are a lot of good seats out there by many different makers. I like to try new products every once in awhile just to see what they are like. Selle Italia and Specialized are two of my favorites. I like the Ergon saddle also. It is comfortable and appears well made. No problems on long rides. The only thing I don’t like is that it creaks and pops when you grab the saddle to move the bike around. There is movement where the rails go into the seat. Most manufacture’s use adhesive in this area. If it gets worse I will switch back to my Specialized Phenom 143mm.

I was nervous changing saddles two weeks prior to a 24hr event, especially when I realized how “firm” this saddle was. After years of riding the same WTB saddle, I am really pleased with how comfortable and performance oriented this saddle is. With a few weeks of training and a 24hr event done, I can say the size and shape of a saddle is clearly more important than “padding “. Great saddle.

Overall it’s a fine seat. I won’t replace it. However, for some reason it feels a little wider between my legs & rubs my thighs a bit more than my other ones.I bike quite a bit (200 hours & almost 2,000 mountain biking in 2021). I love the Ergon grips. I wanted to love this seat. It’s “passable” but not much more. Dunno why I don’t love it.

This is the best saddle that I have ever been on, will definitely purchase again!

Velmia bicycle seat is just as good ergon just lighter

Top-quality, but too firm for me.

It took me a few rides to get this adjusted properly, but then I took a 60 km MTB ride with 1,250 meters of elevation gain with NO pain and NO numbness! Wonderful! My only concern is that, because my sit bone measurement falls on the border between the s/m and m/l sizes, that the m/l i bought might be a bit too big for me – but no way to know without buying the smaller size, which I am not about to do. Overall a great improvement for my MTB. I am very satisfied.
